Pyaar ka Punchnama fame Luv Ranjan has co-written De De Pyaar De 2 with Tarun Jain. Devgn stars in the film alongside Tabu, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Rakul Preet Singh. Devgn plays a successful NRI businessman who is separated from his wife (Tabu) and falls in love with a young girl (Singh). The chaos that follows forms the narrative of the movie. The first film traced the chaos when Devgn decides to inform his wife and grown-up kids about the relationship, and the new film revolves around the drama that ensues when the young girl takes her older boyfriend to her parents. R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor play the girl’s parents and are new addition to the cast. So is Jaaferi’s son Meezan Jaaferi (Malaal).

Featuring Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role, The Girlfriend released in theatres on November 7 and has impressed critics and audiences alike. The Telugu film has made a decent box office collection at the global ticket windows. After earning $2 million in a week, the film closed its second week above $3 million. Written and directed by Rahul Ravindran, The Girlfriend, features Mandanna along with Deekshith Shetty, Anu Emmanuel and Ravindran.

Indian actor Dulquer Salmaan’s new film Kaantha is also making an impression with the Indian audience. The film scored $2.8 million in its first weekend and closed the first week around $4 million. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, Kaantha also stars Bhagyashree Borse and Rana Daggubati.
