In May 2023, Aerosmith announced a farewell tour titled, appropriately, Peace Out: The Farewell Tour, which the band insisted would be its last. A little over a year later, the trek was canceled, and the group announced that there would be no further live shows as lead singer Steven Tyler had damaged his vocal cords and could no longer sing many of the hits that made Aerosmith a household name all around the world.

Longtime fans of the act despaired, and it seemed a sad ending for one of hard rock’s most flamboyant names. Now, more than a year after that tragic turn, Aerosmith has kicked off a new chapter. The rock band recently teamed up with English singer-songwriter Yungblud for a collaborative EP titled One More Time. The short set arrived just a few days ago, and it seems that fans of Aerosmith in the United Kingdom were so excited that they got a head start on celebrating, and they have collectively turned one of the most famous Aerosmith tunes into a top 40 bestseller decades after its release, after it seemed like no one would hear from the musicians.

“Dream On” Returns as a Surprise Bestseller

Seemingly out of nowhere, “Dream On,” one of Aerosmith’s most dramatic releases, becomes a top seller in the U.K. “Dream On” breaks back onto both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts, reentering at Nos. 29 and 35, respectively.

“Dream On” Hits New All-Time Chart Peaks

“Dream On” doesn’t just return to a pair of sales charts in the U.K., it hits new peaks on both of them at the same time. This week marks the first time that “Dream On” has found space inside the top 40 on either competitive tally. Previously, it topped out at No. 63 on the downloads list and No. 65 on the general ranking of the bestselling tracks throughout the nation.

When Did Aerosmith Release “Dream On”?

Aerosmith released “Dream On” in 1973 as a single from the band’s self-titled debut album. The tune needed several years to become a classic, and for more than half a century has stood out as a favorite in a catalog packed with rock smashes.

“Dream On” debuted on both U.K.-based rosters it currently appears on in December 2018. At the time, it earned the band its first appearance on the Official Singles Sales chart, while “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” preceded it by an impressive 14 years on the Official Singles Downloads list.

Aerosmith has thus far scored only three hits on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. In addition to both “Dream On” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” “My Only Angel,” the lead single from the group’s collaborative project with Yungblud, arrived just last month. “My Only Angel” brought Aerosmith to the top 10 on the downloads-focused roster for the first time, as it peaked at No. 9, but it stalled just beneath that uppermost tier on the Official Singles Sales chart, rocking its way to No. 12.

Aerosmith and Yungblud’s Relationship is Still New

Interest in both Aerosmith and Yungblud is incredibly high, and there’s every reason to believe that One More Time will become a bestseller and a top performer when the Official Charts Company refreshes its rankings in a few days. The group and the singer-songwriter — who has been putting his own twist on rock music for years now to great success in the U.K. — were both involved in the Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham, a farewell for Black Sabbath that turned out to be Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance, as he died just a short time later. It didn’t take long for the two musical acts to decide to continue their collaborative relationship, and both are looking for another commercial success in the U.K. with the joint EP.

Aerosmith Generates Momentum as Yungblud Steps Back

While Aerosmith is finding new ways to stick around in the music industry, even if a tour may not be possible, Yungblud recently took a step back. The superstar hit new career highs in 2025 with his latest album Idols, which netted the talent his first several Grammy nominations, but it seems he worked himself too hard. Around the same time, and just before the One More Time EP arrived, Yungblud stated that he had to cancel all of his remaining concert dates this year and take some time off, so promotion around the short project has been limited.

Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny

The post Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The cryptocurrency world is buzzing with a recent controversy surrounding a bold OpenVPP partnership claim. This week, OpenVPP (OVPP) announced what it presented as a significant collaboration with the U.S. government in the innovative field of energy tokenization. However, this claim quickly drew the sharp eye of on-chain analyst ZachXBT, who highlighted a swift and official rebuttal that has sent ripples through the digital asset community. What Sparked the OpenVPP Partnership Claim Controversy? The core of the issue revolves around OpenVPP’s assertion of a U.S. government partnership. This kind of collaboration would typically be a monumental endorsement for any private cryptocurrency project, especially given the current regulatory climate. Such a partnership could signify a new era of mainstream adoption and legitimacy for energy tokenization initiatives. OpenVPP initially claimed cooperation with the U.S. government. This alleged partnership was said to be in the domain of energy tokenization. The announcement generated considerable interest and discussion online. ZachXBT, known for his diligent on-chain investigations, was quick to flag the development. He brought attention to the fact that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester Peirce had directly addressed the OpenVPP partnership claim. Her response, delivered within hours, was unequivocal and starkly contradicted OpenVPP’s narrative. How Did Regulatory Authorities Respond to the OpenVPP Partnership Claim? Commissioner Hester Peirce’s statement was a crucial turning point in this unfolding story. She clearly stated that the SEC, as an agency, does not engage in partnerships with private cryptocurrency projects. This response effectively dismantled the credibility of OpenVPP’s initial announcement regarding their supposed government collaboration. Peirce’s swift clarification underscores a fundamental principle of regulatory bodies: maintaining impartiality and avoiding endorsements of private entities. Her statement serves as a vital reminder to the crypto community about the official stance of government agencies concerning private ventures. Moreover, ZachXBT’s analysis…

A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release

The post A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix Everyone has wondered what may be the next step for KPop Demon Hunters as an IP, given its record-breaking success on Netflix. Now, the answer may be something exactly no one predicted. According to a new filing with the MPA, something called Debut: A KPop Demon Hunters Story has been rated PG by the ratings body. It’s listed alongside some other films, and this is obviously something that has not been publicly announced. A short film could be well, very short, a few minutes, and likely no more than ten. Even that might be pushing it. Using say, Pixar shorts as a reference, most are between 4 and 8 minutes. The original movie is an hour and 36 minutes. The “Debut” in the title indicates some sort of flashback, perhaps to when HUNTR/X first arrived on the scene before they blew up. Previously, director Maggie Kang has commented about how there were more backstory components that were supposed to be in the film that were cut, but hinted those could be explored in a sequel. But perhaps some may be put into a short here. I very much doubt those scenes were fully produced and simply cut, but perhaps they were finished up for this short film here. When would Debut: KPop Demon Hunters theoretically arrive? I’m not sure the other films on the list are much help. Dead of Winter is out in less than two weeks. Mother Mary does not have a release date. Ne Zha 2 came out earlier this year. I’ve only seen news stories saying The Perfect Gamble was supposed to come out in Q1 2025, but I’ve seen no evidence that it actually has. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix It could be sooner rather than later as Netflix looks to capitalize…
