PANews reported on November 28 that, according to a statement from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the SFC and all its staff expressed their condolences for the fire at Hung Fuk Court in Tai Po and launched an internal fundraising campaign to support the affected residents. The SFC will donate the proceeds, along with the budget from the cancelled December staff dinner, to the "Tai Po Hung Fuk Court Relief Fund" established by the Hong Kong SAR Government.
