PANews reported on December 4th, citing Bloomberg, that the Reform Party, led by Nigel Farage, surpassed other British political parties in donations in the third quarter, thanks to a record £9 million ($12 million) donation from crypto investor Christopher Harborne. This indicates that the business community and wealthy are taking the party's lead in opinion polls seriously. From July to September, the Reform Party received £10.3 million in donations, Keir Starmer's ruling Labour Party received £2.2 million, and the main opposition Conservative Party received £4.7 million. These figures do not include public funds allocated by the government to the opposition.
Although quarterly political donations fluctuate significantly, the Reform Party raised more than any other major political party in the UK, demonstrating its growing influence in the British political landscape. Despite having only five MPs in the 650-seat House of Commons, Farage has consistently topped national opinion polls since April.
