As purchases of both songs and full-lengths declined, due first to internet piracy and then to the adoption of streaming platforms like Spotify, Swift stood out as one of the few names who was able to convince her massive following to head to record stores and big box retailers to purchase her projects, first on CD and then later on vinyl, as she helped revitalize the format. For well over a decade now, it has been known that Taylor Swift can sell albums like almost nobody else in the global music industry, with the possible exception of Adele.

Even as millions continue to focus their listening — and especially buying — on Swift’s latest blockbuster The Life of a Showgirl, several of her fan favorites return to Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, perhaps buoyed by an uptick in holiday shopping.

Folklore, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and Midnights Return

Three blockbusters by Swift break back onto the Top Album Sales chart this week. The ranking lists the 50 bestselling titles of any genre or language in the U.S. and includes digital downloads as well as purchases on CD, cassette, and vinyl.

The highest-ranking of her comebacks is Folklore, which reenters the tally at No. 36. 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is also a top 40 success again, but only barely, as it finds its way to No. 40 after not appearing on the list at all last frame. Midnights narrowly manages to find space at all as it climbs to No. 47 on the tally.

Taylor Swift’s Albums Experience 50% Sales Gains (Or Larger)

Purchases of all three of Swift’s returning smashes on the Top Album Sales chart grew by at least 50% from last week. Folklore sold 3,800 copies, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) managed 3,500, and Midnights was snapped up by just under 3,200 fans throughout America, according to data shared by Luminate.

The Life Of A Showgirl Remains Taylor Swift’s Bestseller

As a trio of titles return to the Top Album Sales chart, Swift claims four spaces on the ranking. For any other artist, that might be a career high, but it is actually a relatively quiet frame for the pop superstar, as she is known to occupy many more slots during quieter periods.

Unsurprisingly, The Life of a Showgirl is Swift’s bestseller this time around. The historic release – which debuted with more than four million total units earlier in 2025, becoming the first to hit that number in one week – dips to No. 4 in its eighth frame on the list, selling another 20,700 copies. That figure is up 20% from the week before, even though The Life of a Showgirl descends one spot.

Stray Kids, Wicked and Aerosmith Push Taylor Swift From No. 1

Swift’s latest is pushed downward, despite its increase in sales, as three new efforts launch ahead of it. Stray Kids score another champion with the Do It EP opens at No. 1 with almost 286,000 sales. The Wicked: For Good soundtrack begins its time in the runner-up spot with 85,200 copies sold. And Aerosmith and Yungblud introduce the One More Time EP at No. 3 with 37,300 pure purchases.

Taylor Swift Scores 10 Albums on the Billboard 200

Over on the Billboard 200, the ranking of the most consumed albums in America, Swift fills more than twice as many spaces as she does on the Top Album Sales chart — though the list does feature four times as many spots. Just as is the case on the purchase-only tally, Swift manages a comeback as Red (Taylor’s Version) reenters at No. 193.

Swift currently appears in all of the following spots on the Billboard 200:

No. 3 — The Life of a Showgirl
No. 50 — The Tortured Poets Department
No. 57 — Folklore
No. 79 — Lover
No. 80 — Midnights
No. 116 — Reputation
No. 128 — 1989 (Taylor’s Version)
No. 144 — Evermore
No. 193 — Red (Taylor’s Version)
No. 197 — 1989

The Life Of A Showgirl Dominates Multiple Billboard Charts

Most of Swift’s projects only live on two Billboard charts, while some find space on just a single list. The Life of a Showgirl can be found inside the top five on the Billboard 200, Top Album Sales, Top Streaming Albums, and Vinyl Albums rankings, and it descends ever so slightly on all of them at the same time.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
