From the shocking arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte in March, to a most eventful coverage of the 2025 midterm elections, to the flood control scandals that rocked the nation, our newsroom has been busy all year — and these are only the highlights.

We leave no stone unturned, and this year, we have worked tirelessly to bring you the facts that you need to know. As the year comes to a close, we want to take this opportunity to reflect on what the year has brought, and how our journalism and community efforts have made an impact on our readers.

Furthermore, we want to define impact and what that means for us in the coming year. We invite you, as part of our Rappler community, to tell us what you think courage will look like in 2026.
