Adobe has announced that ChatGPT users can now access its design and editing tools directly on the platform. Starting from today, users can use Photoshop, Acrobat, and Adobe Express directly from the AI chatbot.

In a blog post made on Wednesday, the company said the aim of the initiative is to help users save time switching apps. The development is a partnership between OpenAI and Adobe.

We’re thrilled to bring Photoshop, Adobe Express and Acrobat directly into ChatGPT, combining our creative innovations with the ease of ChatGPT to make creativity accessible for everyone,” said David Wadhwani, president, digital media, Adobe.

As the feature is free, users can activate it by typing the name of the app alongside an uploaded file and prompt, such as “Adobe Photoshop, help me blur the background of this image.” In addition, users won’t have to specify the name of the app again under the same thread of prompts in making additional changes.

While prompts vary, Adobe’s apps may offer a selection of results to choose from or provide results such as Photoshop sliders for adjusting contrast and brightness. It can also offer a range of results that users will manually control and choose from.

However, the in-apps don’t provide the full functionality of Adobe’s desktop software.

For instance, the Photoshop app can only edit specific sections of images, apply creative effects, and adjust image settings like brightness, contrast and exposure. Also, Acrobat in ChatGPT can edit existing PDFs, compress and convert other documents into a PDF format, extract text or tables, and merge multiple files together.

The Adobe Express in ChatGPT lets users generate and edit designs, such as posters, invitations, and social media graphics. Users can also access photos, designs and PDFs they started in the chatbot on the apps directly, and continue the editing.

The new features are available on ChatGPT desktop, web and iOS. Adobe Express for ChatGPT is also available on Android, while support for Photoshop and Acrobat for ChatGPT on Android is coming soon.

For OpenAI, the integration of an additional everyday tool is an attempt to keep users on ChatGPT and make them spend more time than before. It’s also an attempt to fend off competition from Google’s Gemini AI, Meta’s AI and other rivals.

ChatGPT’s app integration

In October, OpenAI commenced the campaign for app integration into its chatbot. The first rollout allows users to connect third-party services such as Spotify, Canva, and Zillow directly within ChatGPT chats, enabling actions like creating a music playlist and creating designs.

“The magic of this new generation of apps in ChatGPT is how they blend familiar interactive elements—like maps, playlists and presentations—with new ways of interacting through conversation,” the company said in October.

OpenAI also disclosed that 11 additional partners, including Khan Academy, Uber, TripAdvisor, Instacart, and DoorDash, will launch apps on the chatbot before the end of 2025.

The company emphasised that every app must comply with OpenAI’s usage policies, privacy standards, and partner rules for third-party integrations. This is necessary to limit the information the apps can access, and also put users in control of their privacy.

Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew returns to the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts, showing continued demand for his timeless music. Frank Sinatra performs on his TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man and his Music Bettmann Archive These days on the Billboard charts, Frank Sinatra’s music can always be found on the jazz-specific rankings. While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew Returns Sinatra’s The World We Knew is a top performer again, if only on the jazz lists. That set rebounds to No. 15 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart and comes in at No. 20 on the all-encompassing Jazz Albums ranking after not appearing on either roster just last frame. The World We Knew’s All-Time Highs The World We Knew returns close to its all-time peak on both of those rosters. Sinatra’s classic has peaked at No. 11 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, just missing out on becoming another top 10 for the crooner. The set climbed all the way to No. 15 on the Jazz Albums tally and has now spent just under two months on the rosters. Frank Sinatra’s Album With Classic Hits Sinatra released The World We Knew in the summer of 1967. The title track, which on the album is actually known as “The World We Knew (Over and…
