COINOTAG News reports that on December 13, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency issued a conditional approval for Ripple National Trust Bank‘s charter application, marking a notable regulatory milestone for Ripple Labs Inc. The proposed national bank aims to extend trust and custody capabilities across Ripple’s growing digital asset framework.
It would center on fiduciary services to support issuance, management, and custody of RLUSD, Ripple’s US dollar–pegged stablecoin, thereby strengthening the infrastructure around its digital asset business.
