SBI Ripple Asia Partners With Doppler Finance for XRP Yield and RWA Tokenization

  • SBI Ripple and Doppler Finance have partnered to offer yield products and RWA tokenization based on XRP.
  • XRP use cases grew this year as investors had access to passive income streams.

SBI Ripple Asia has partnered with decentralized finance (DeFi) startup Doppler Finance. Using the XRP Ledger (XRPL), both plans are to offer an XRP offering and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

As revealed in a press release shared with Crypto-News Flash, both SBI Ripple Asia and Doppler Finance have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This is a step forward towards focusing on XRP-based yields and tokenizing RWAs on the XRP Ledger.

Through the partnership, Ripple, SBI Holdings, and Doppler Finance are making history in Asia. Per the details, this is the first collaboration between SBI Ripple Asia and an XRPL-native protocol. The partnership deal indicates a new chapter for institutional-grade finance on XRP Ledger. Their goal is to accelerate the adoption of transparent, compliant, and yield-generating products built on the XRPL.

Notably, the partnership will see SBI Digital Markets, a MAS-regulated partner, serving as the institutional custodian. Their duty is to provide independent and segregated custody solutions, ensuring the safety of client assets from exchange-regulated risks. This will help to build high-level security and trust in the platforms.

The deal will also help Doppler Finance grow its reach among users in Japan. In addition, the partnership is a sign that XRP is growing as a widely accepted asset in the world. In a previous article, we discussed, VivoPower allocated $30 million XRP pilot with Doppler Finance to grow the regenerative loop treasury.

In the past few years, Doppler has seen adoption from qualified institutions and integrations by major exchanges and wallets. The increased adoption is possibly due to the platform’s stability. Institutions use Doppler Finance for on-chain yield exposure while paying attention to government demands. Based on this linkup with SBI Ripple Asia, Doppler can serve as a one-stop shop for XRP offerings in the ecosystem.

XRP Utility Expansion

Primarily, the deal between SBI Ripple Asia and Doppler will expand the role of XRP as a productive, yield-bearing asset. At the same time, it would introduce institutional standards to the broader XRPL ecosystem. Additionally, it creates a strong foundation for expanding the utility of XRP. This is because Doppler Finance contributes its expertise in digital asset adoption across Japan and Asia. In the future, SBI Ripple Asia plans to explore new opportunities that bridge traditional finance and the on-chain ecosystem.

Meanwhile, the DeFi ecosystem tied to the XRP Ledger has seen a quiet but powerful shift this year. As summarized in our earlier news story, the XRPL DeFi ecosystem offers yield opportunities like staking and liquidity pools. These opportunities enable passive income for users without selling XRP holdings.

Furthermore, XRP is among other cryptocurrencies spotlighted as a key utility compatibility chain with ISO 20022 messaging. A possible integration could accelerate XRP adoption for cross-border settlements and compliance-heavy use cases.

Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For

The post Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Topline The Federal Reserve on Wednesday will conclude a two-day policymaking meeting and release a decision on whether to lower interest rates—following months of pressure and criticism from President Donald Trump—and potentially signal whether additional cuts are on the way. President Donald Trump has urged the central bank to “CUT INTEREST RATES, NOW, AND BIGGER” than they might plan to. Getty Images Key Facts The central bank is poised to cut interest rates by at least a quarter-point, down from the 4.25% to 4.5% range where they have been held since December to between 4% and 4.25%, as Wall Street has placed 100% odds of a rate cut, according to CME’s FedWatch, with higher odds (94%) on a quarter-point cut than a half-point (6%) reduction. Fed governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, both Trump appointees, voted in July for a quarter-point reduction to rates, and they may dissent again in favor of a large cut alongside Stephen Miran, Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers’ chair, who was sworn in at the meeting’s start on Tuesday. It’s unclear whether other policymakers, including Kansas City Fed President Jeffrey Schmid and St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem, will favor larger cuts or opt for no reduction. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said in his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, address last month the central bank would likely consider a looser monetary policy, noting the “shifting balance of risks” on the U.S. economy “may warrant adjusting our policy stance.” David Mericle, an economist for Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note the “key question” for the Fed’s meeting is whether policymakers signal “this is likely the first in a series of consecutive cuts” as the central bank is anticipated to “acknowledge the softening in the labor market,” though they may not “nod to an October cut.” Mericle said he…
