Ondas Holdings Inc. (ONDS) stock climbed 4% in premarket trading Friday following the company’s announcement of a corporate rebrand and headquarters relocation. The rebranding comes as the company transitions from its earlier development phase to what management describes as a scaled, global defense and security technology platform. Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas, said the previous name reflected an earlier chapter of the company’s growth. The new name better represents the company’s current operations as an integrated platform serving both government and commercial customers.

The name change is scheduled to take effect during the first quarter of 2026. The company confirmed the rebranding will not affect its stock ticker symbol or cause any interruption to ongoing business activities.

Ondas provides autonomous aerial and ground robot intelligence through its Ondas Autonomous Systems business unit. The company also offers private wireless solutions through Ondas Networks. These two divisions form the core of the company’s defense and security technology offerings.

Strategic Move to Florida

The headquarters relocation to West Palm Beach represents a calculated decision to position the company for its next growth phase. Management cited improved access to senior talent, strategic partners, and institutional capital as key reasons for the move. Brock pointed to West Palm Beach’s emergence as a hub for technology, defense, finance, and global business.

The company emphasized that the headquarters move has already been completed. Despite the change in location, Ondas will keep its distributed operations model intact. Engineering, manufacturing, and field operations will continue across multiple regions including the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

Operations Continue Uninterrupted

Company leadership stressed that neither the name change nor the headquarters relocation will disrupt day-to-day operations. Customer programs and delivery timelines remain on schedule. The company characterized these changes as strategic positioning rather than an operational overhaul.

Ondas operates in the defense, security, and industrial technology sectors. Its Ondas Autonomous Systems unit provides AI-powered defense and security platforms. These include autonomous aerial systems, ground systems, and counter-UAS technology deployed at critical infrastructure and sensitive sites worldwide.

The Ondas Networks division focuses on software-defined wireless connectivity for mission-critical IoT applications. Industries served include rail, utilities, oil and gas, transportation, and government sectors. The company also runs Ondas Capital, which pursues advisory and strategic investment activities in unmanned and autonomous systems for allied defense and security markets.

The stock’s premarket gain came on the back of the dual announcement. Analysts currently rate ONDS as a Buy with a $10.00 price target. The company has a market cap of $3.65 billion and an average trading volume of 84.4 million shares.

The corporate headquarters is now based in West Palm Beach, with the name change set to follow in the coming months.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
