SharpLink has deployed $170 million worth of Ethereum on Linea, fulfilling a major part of its $200 million crypto treasury strategy. The publicly listed company now activates its ETH holdings, transitioning from passive asset storage to on-chain yield generation. This deployment highlights a structural shift in how corporate treasuries can manage digital assets using Ethereum-native infrastructure.
SharpLink announced the Ethereum deployment on Linea, a Layer-2 network built to support institutional-scale activity with lower fees and higher throughput. The $170 million allocation reflects the company’s active approach to treasury management under a defined risk and compliance framework.
SharpLink is the world’s second-largest corporate ETH holder and seeks to convert its crypto reserves into productive capital. The company structured the deployment with the support of Anchorage Digital, ether.fi, and EigenCloud. The partners provide custody and infrastructure compliant with institutional security standards.
Joseph Chalom, CEO of SharpLink, said, “Our deployment on Linea unlocks enhanced ETH productivity at scale with the risk controls institutions need.” The company will maintain its focus on responsible asset deployment while expanding its participation in decentralized finance.
The transaction took place on Linea, an Ethereum Layer-2 designed to support institutional users with enhanced scalability and security. The network combines Ethereum’s security model with cost-effective, high-throughput infrastructure suitable for complex strategies.
Declan Fox, head of Linea, said, “This $170M ETH deployment with SharpLink reflects what Linea is built to enable: institutional-scale activity on Ethereum.” He emphasized that the setup integrates qualified custody and infrastructure to meet compliance demands.
Fox added, “Institutions can deploy ETH productively while satisfying the required security and compliance standards.” He views this as a new stage of institutional engagement in the Ethereum ecosystem.
SharpLink’s deployment represents a methodical approach to integrating Ethereum into treasury operations without compromising governance or control. The company said it follows a defined custody framework to ensure regulatory compliance. Its partners specialize in institutional custody and yield infrastructure.
The structure ensures that ETH is not only held but also actively utilized within Ethereum’s financial ecosystem. The company aims to keep risk-adjusted returns within corporate risk limits while leveraging decentralized infrastructure. Chalom stated that SharpLink plans to continue setting examples for others entering DeFi.
SharpLink completed the deployment in coordination with its partners, using infrastructure designed for secure and scalable execution. The ETH remains under qualified custody, aligned with financial compliance standards. The company intends to maintain its strategy as regulatory clarity and infrastructure readiness improve.
