For more than half a century, Fleetwood Mac’s music has been rising and falling on the United Kingdom’s music charts. The group – which features members that hail from the country – has recently seen multiple songs and albums surge to impressive heights, considering their age. In just the past decade or so, as streaming was added to the Official Charts Company’s methodologies, the Grammy-winning act has regularly appeared in some of the highest spaces on a handful of hugely competitive tallies.

This week, one of the outfit’s most successful compilations hits a new all-time high.

Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years – Don’t Stop Moves Closer to No. 1

Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years – Don’t Stop steps up one space on the Official Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums and EPs in the U.K. The compilation improves from No. 4 to No. 3, inching closer than ever to the top spot.

Fleetwood Mac’s Compilation Hits a New Peak Position

No. 3 now stands as the new peak for 50 Years – Don’t Stop on the most important albums chart in the U.K. The set, packed with dozens of Fleetwood Mac’s most famous tunes, establishes its newly-set high 373 weeks into its time on the Official Albums chart.

This time around, the two titles that block Fleetwood Mac from another No. 1 on the Official Albums chart are steady from where they sat last week. Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving holds at No. 1, while Sabrina Carpenter’s former leader Man’s Best Friend is comfortable yet again in second place. 50 Years – Don’t Stop trades places with Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, which slips from No. 3 to No. 4.

Fleetwood Mac’s Compilation Hits 125 Weeks Inside the Top 10

Of the 373 weeks that 50 Years – Don’t Stop has racked up on the 100-space Official Albums chart, 125 have been spent inside the top 10. For years now, the box set has taken up space between Nos. 1 and 10 more often than not, and only during the busiest frames does Fleetwood Mac fail to land inside the uppermost tier.

50 Years – Don’t Stop Misses No. 1 by Just One Space

As 50 Years – Don’t Stop improves its best position on the Official Albums chart, the compilation holds at what has turned out to be its all-time high on the Official Albums Streaming list, the only other roster in the U.K. where the compilation also appears. Fleetwood Mac holds at No. 2, held back from claiming a first No. 1 only by Dean’s The Art of Loving.

Rumours Nearly Reaches the Top Spot on the Vinyl Chart

This week is an exciting one for Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years – Don’t Stop, but it is not the only title from the group that finds its way back to a peak slot. Rumours, one of the bestselling and most critically acclaimed full-lengths of all time, surges to its most impressive space on three of the half-dozen rankings on which it appears.

The Official Charts Company does credit multiple versions of Rumours that have charted throughout the years, and the one that is present on the U.K.’s tallies at the moment sits at No. 2 on the Official Vinyl Albums list and No. 3 on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales rosters, stopping at its previously-set peak.

Fleetwood Mac Almost Scores Two Top 10 Albums

Rumours is on the rise on two other tallies across the Atlantic, inching a few spots on the Official Album Downloads chart to No. 22 and improving ever so slightly to No. 17 on the Official Albums Streaming list. On the Official Albums ranking, where 50 Years – Don’t Stop hits its new high of No. 3, Rumours is a non-mover at No. 11, and Fleetwood Mac almost claims a pair of top 10s in the country.

For most acts, even some of the biggest of all time, one compilation at a time is enough. But 50 Years – Don’t Stop does not satiate the U.K. audience’s thirst for the band’s music. Greatest Hits jumps more than 40 spaces on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, while simultaneously returning to the Official Vinyl Albums ranking.
