DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Burns Charest LLP is pleased to announce that Ryan Gaddis has been named as a partner in the growing Dallas-based litigation boutique. According to firm leadership, the new role reflects Mr. Gaddis’ success, service and experience in the growing practice of high-stakes litigation in the oil and gas industry.

“Ryan brings deep experience in the energy industry that proves invaluable in serving our oil & gas clients,” says the firm’s Daniel Charest. “His work ethic and insights have been key advantages for us, and his promotion acknowledges those contributions.”

Mr. Gaddis began his professional career as an in-house landman for a large, Houston-based independent exploration and production company in the Haynesville Shale, SCOOP, Permian and Delaware basins. He earned his law degree with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2018 and his undergraduate degree in energy commerce, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University.

At Burns Charest, Mr. Gaddis has handled a wide variety of energy-related cases, including title disputes, royalty underpayments, lease disputes, surface use disputes, JOA disputes and breach of contract actions. Complemented by his experience in energy litigation, he has managed other large, complex matters in multiple jurisdictions, including claims involving toxic torts, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices and other commercial cases.

Burns Charest LLP is a thriving boutique litigation firm of experienced, respected attorneys with impressive records representing clients in important and high-profile cases. This work includes serving as co-lead counsel in multidistrict litigation, antitrust and class action matters, oil and gas royalty disputes, environmental pollution cases, large-scale mass torts and complex commercial litigation. The firm has offices in Dallas, New Orleans, New York, and Washington, D.C.
