SharpLink Gaming Faces $197M Unrealized ETH Loss
Key Points:
  • SharpLink’s ETH treasury faces significant unrealized loss.
  • Market volatility impacts Ethereum reserves.
  • Continuous ETH accumulation strategy remains.

SharpLink Gaming’s unrealized Ethereum loss stands at $197 million, driven by market volatility. Despite this loss, the company has aggressively accumulated 143,593 ETH, deploying $170 million for staking on Linea, with holdings nearing $3 billion.

SharpLink Gaming has reported a $197 million unrealized loss in its Ethereum reserve, according to Coinglass, influenced by ETF outflows.

Market volatility has sharply impacted SharpLink’s Ethereum reserves, reflecting broader fluctuations and emphasizing ongoing strategic accumulation efforts despite significant losses.

SharpLink Gaming has been actively expanding its treasury reserves by aggressively accumulating Ethereum. The company’s deployment of $170 million in ETH for staking on Linea highlights its strategy, despite facing a significant unrealized loss. The total holdings are nearing $3 billion in value, signaling the company’s commitment to building its cryptocurrency reserves. However, this aggressive strategy has not shielded SharpLink from substantial financial setbacks, as evidenced by the reported $197 million unrealized loss within its reserve.

ETF outflows have contributed significantly to SharpLink’s current unrealized loss, reflecting broader market reactions affecting various corporate treasuries. Despite this, SharpLink maintains an unused cash reserve of $84 million and continues to invest in Ethereum, pursuing strategies that expand beyond $10 billion in treasury reserves.

Impact on the crypto market is notable as Ethereum’s price fluctuations contribute to these unrealized losses, seen during a time of broad ETF sell-offs recorded in other major funds. Nevertheless, institutional demand for Ethereum remains robust, counteracting pressures from asset outflows.

Historically, such ETF outflows contribute to market instability but are often followed by market corrections and renewed investment inflows. Future strategic moves by SharpLink and similar firms may focus on managing risk and maximizing staking rewards, potentially influencing market trends through demand-driven strategies.

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
