Video shows officers pepper-spraying, beating, and killing the 37-year-old, sparking bipartisan outrage and calls for accountability. Rather than de-escalate, Bovino lashed out on social media at Rep. Thomas Massie for defending Pretti’s lawful gun ownership and at Sen. Bill Cassidy for calling the incident “incredibly disturbing” and urging an investigation, dismissing concerns while casting doubt on Minnesota officials’ ability to probe the case.
