‘Zootopia 2’ Is Now Streaming — How To Watch Disney’s Highest-Grossing Film At Home

It’s official! Disney’s blockbuster animated sequel, Zootopia 2, is finally available to stream at home for the whole family to enjoy. In December 2025, Zootopia 2 became Walt Disney Animation’s highest-grossing film ever, earning $1.46 billion at the global box office and surpassing Frozen 2, which previously held the record with $1.45 billion in 2019, according to Variety.

Zootopia 2 also crossed the $1 billion mark just 17 days after its Nov. 26 release, , becoming the fastest PG-rated movie in history to reach the milestone. Like the original film, which won Best Animated Feature at the 89th Academy Awards in 2017, the sequel is also nominated for the same honor at the upcoming 2026 Oscars in March.

The buddy-cop sequel reunites detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, voiced by returning stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, as they set out to solve a new mystery involving a reptilian resident. The star-studded voice cast also includes Shakira, Idris Elba, Alan Tudyk, Ke Huy Quan, Andy Samberg, Quinta Brunson and Jenny Slate, among others.

“Detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who turns the mammal metropolis of Zootopia upside down,” Disney’s official synopsis reads. “Testing their growing partnership like never before, they go undercover in new parts of town to crack the case.”

In addition to its box-office success, Zootopia 2’s ratings are also quite spectacular. The animated movie boasts a 91% critics’ score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is higher than the original film’s audience score (92%).

How To Watch Zootopia 2 At Home

Zootopia 2 is currently available to stream on video-on-demand platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango At Home. You can purchase Zootopia 2 for $29.99 or rent the film for $19.99. For rentals, you have 30 days to start watching the movie and 48 hours to finish once started.

All three platforms are also selling a Zootopia and Zootopia 2 bundle, which is currently on sale for $39.90 (down from $49.98).

When Will Zootopia 2 Be Released On 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray And DVD?

Zootopia 2 will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 3, 2026.

When Will Zootopia 2 Start Streaming On Disney+?

In addition to its digital release, Zootopia 2 will eventually be available on Disney+, where the first film, Zootopia (2016), is also streaming. Disney+ has not yet announced a release date for the sequel, but it will likely arrive sometime in late February or March 2026, approximately three to four months after premiering in theaters.

This timeline aligns with other Disney releases, including Freakier Friday, Fantastic Four: First Steps, Captain America: Brave New World and Mufasa: The Lion King, all of which became available on Disney+ more than three months after their respective theatrical releases.
