Last week, Bruno Mars debuted his new single “I Just Might” in impressive positions on charts all around the world. The track, which fronts his upcoming album, The Romantic, became an immediate top 10 smash on every ranking it landed on in the United Kingdom. In its second frame, the tune holds inside that competitive space on all four tallies.

The release of “I Just Might” reminded millions of people globally of how much they love the music that made Mars a superstar in the first place. His three solo albums and one collaborative project – the hugely successful An Evening With Silk Sonic, credited to both he and Anderson .Paak as the pair formed the Grammy-winning duo Silk Sonic – have all become top performers as the British public continues to buy and stream “I Just Might” in large numbers.

As several projects from Mars chart, his debut album manages to hit a new peak more than 15 years after its release.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans Reaches a New All-Time High

Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Mars’s first full-length, climbs three spaces on the Official Albums Streaming chart. This time around, the set improves to No. 22 on the U.K.’s list of the most-played releases on platforms like Spotify. No. 22 marks a new all-time high for Doo-Wops & Hooligans on the streaming-only roster.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans Peaks 400 Weeks Into Its Chart Life

It’s relatively rare for catalog projects – those released 18 months ago or more – to jump to new peaks, as typically interest in any album is at its zenith when the artist is promoting the set. Occasionally, due to special circumstances, an older effort does surge, often returning to a sales or streaming roster.

When it comes to Doo-Wops & Hooligans, the collection has been living on the Official Albums Streaming chart fairly consistently for years. The blockbuster reaches its newly-established best showing more than 400 frames into its time on the 100-spot ranking.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans Returns to Two Sales Tallies

At the same time that Doo-Wops & Hooligans rises to its exciting new peak, the project returns to several purchase-only rankings in the U.K. Doo-Wops & Hooligans breaks back onto both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, landing at No. 83 and No. 87, respectively.

Bruno Mars’s Debut Album’s Life on the Charts

Doo-Wops & Hooligans settles into similar spaces on those two sales rosters, but it has experienced very different track records on the lists. Mars’s first full-length has only spent three weeks as one of the bestselling albums in the U.K., and it has previously climbed as high as No. 60.

The title is far more successful on the Official Physical Albums chart, where Doo-Wops & Hooligans celebrates 150 weeks as one of the top-selling titles on any physical format as it returns. On that roster, Mars’s debut studio effort has previously led the charge.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans Rises – and Falls – on Various Charts

Doo-Wops & Hooligans can be found on two other tallies in the U.K. this week. It rises to No. 27 on the Official Albums chart, which lists the most consumed EPs and full-lengths, while dipping a single rung on the Official Album Downloads roster, where it settles at No. 73.

Bruno Mars’s Discography on the U.K. Charts

Only one of Mars’s albums is missing from the charts in the U.K. Unorthodox Jukebox, his sophomore follow-up to Doo-Wops & Hooligans, is nowhere to be found this week.

24K Magic, Mars’s most recent solo affair – which is nearing its tenth birthday – rises more than 20 spaces on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts. Meanwhile, An Evening With Silk Sonic is steady at No. 39 on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums list, the only tally where it can currently be found. That collaborative full-length has now spent 52 weeks, or an entire year, as one of the bestselling hip-hop, R&B, or rap releases in the U.K.

Frank Sinatra performs on his TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man and his Music Bettmann Archive These days on the Billboard charts, Frank Sinatra’s music can always be found on the jazz-specific rankings. While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew Returns Sinatra’s The World We Knew is a top performer again, if only on the jazz lists. The World We Knew’s All-Time Highs The World We Knew returns close to its all-time peak on both of those rosters. Sinatra’s classic has peaked at No. 11 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, just missing out on becoming another top 10 for the crooner. The set climbed all the way to No. 15 on the Jazz Albums tally and has now spent just under two months on the rosters.
