DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The “Project Insight – Global Port Construction Projects (Q4 2025)” report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.
The analyst is currently tracking port construction projects globally, from the early pre-planning stages (of announcement and study) through to execution, with a combined value of $528.1 billion.
The largest overall pipeline is in South-East Asia, totaling $140.3 billion, of which $55.5 billion is already in the execution stage. The pipeline of projects in South Asia accounts for the second largest pipeline with a total value of $61.4 billion. This is followed by projects from Sub-Saharan Africa valued at $50.7 billion, accounting for 9.6% of the overall pipeline by value.
The global pipeline is dominated by projects in the later stages of development, with 57.1% of projects either in the pre-execution or execution stage, amounting to $301.4 billion in total value. Of this amount, $236.8 billion is in the execution stage and $64.6 billion is in the pre-execution stages (comprising design, tender and award).
Projects in the early stages account for 42.9% of the pipeline by value reflecting projects in the pre-planning and planning stages. Assuming all projects proceed as planned and that spending is evenly distributed across all quarters of the construction phase of all projects, annual spending on the global port projects pipeline could reach to $61.6 billion in 2026 and $79.8 billion in 2027.
