Most Trump kids aren't attending 'Melania' premiere amid soft box office sales

It seems as though the first lady's big movie premiere will go off with a couple of notable absences, according to a new report.

The documentary "Melania" will debut at the Kennedy Center on Thursday night, an event expected to draw a crowd of officials from President Donald Trump's administration, Hollywood stars, and business moguls. Amazon, which is owned by Trump ally Jeff Bezos, paid roughly $40 million to license the film, and the first lady reportedly pocketed a substantial chunk of that total herself.

But a couple of big names will not be in attendance at the event — most of the Trumps' children, The Daily Beast reported.

Barron Trump, the son of Melania, will not attend the event, according to the outlet. Ivanka Trump, Melania's stepdaughter, and her husband, Jared Kushner, will also not be in attendance.

Eric Trump and his wife, Laura, are also expected to skip the event.

Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée, Bettina Anderson, are reportedly walking the black carpet for the event. Tiffany Trump, the president's only child with his second wife, Marla Maples, will also be in attendance.

The absence of most of the Trump children came at a time when "Melania" was facing what The Guardian described as a "soft" box-office reception.

The UK premiere of her movie attracted single-digit ticket sales, according to a report by LBC.
