Rebel Republican reveals new Epstein files deal as Trump's DOJ flouts the law

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), co-author of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, revealed that President Donald Trump's Department of Justice had invited him to review unredacted documents.

Despite Trump signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law, his administration has failed to comply with the legislation by not releasing the documents on time, failing to redact victims' names, and hiding the names of potential wrongdoers.

On Wednesday, Massie appeared to be open to working with the administration despite its history of flouting his legislation.

"The DOJ has offered to let us come over and look at unredacted files," he told correspondent Anthony Adragna. "That won't solve the problem of the victim's information being released, but it could ameliorate the problem that they are withholding and redacting names of perpetrators."

For his part, Trump has said the country should "get onto something else."
