Roobet is one of the most popular cryptocurrency gambling sites in the world, but not everyone can access it. Because of Roobet’s specific licensing, the site is geo-blocked in many major regions, including the US, the UK, Germany, and Australia.

In which countries is Roobet legal?

No, Roobet is illegal to access from the United States. According to Roobet’s Terms of Service, the entire United States is a “Restricted Territory.” We tested accessing Roobet from various cities across the US using a VPN, and in every location we tried, Roobet was blocked.

Which US states is Roobet legal in?

None. Roobet is not legal in any US state. To verify if Roobet was blocked in specific states, we tested the following locations using a VPN:

  • San Francisco, California
  • Dallas, Texas
  • Miami, Florida
  • Trenton, New Jersey
  • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Despite repeated attempts to access Roobet—even from states like New Jersey and Pennsylvania that have relaxed state-level gambling laws—the website remained inaccessible. We were always met with the same banner stating: “Due to our gaming license, we cannot accept players from your jurisdiction.”

Is Roobet legal in Canada?

Roobet is legal in most of Canada, except in Ontario. In the Terms of Service on the Roobet website, Ontario is listed as a ‘Restricted Territory,’ likely due to the province’s specific iGaming regulations. However, the rest of Canada’s provinces and territories are not restricted.

We tested accessing Roobet from various provinces:

  • Toronto, Ontario: Blocked.
  • Montreal, Quebec: Successful access.
  • Vancouver, British Columbia: Successful access.

Based on this, it is safe to assume Roobet is legal to access from all provinces and territories within Canada, with Ontario being the sole exception.

Is Roobet legal in the UK?

No, Roobet is not legal in the UK.

The United Kingdom is explicitly listed as a “Restricted Territory” in Roobet’s Terms of Service. To operate legally in Britain, an online casino must hold a license from the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC).

Is Roobet legal in Mexico?

No, Roobet is not legal in Japan. While players can technically access the Roobet.com website from Japan without a VPN, most forms of online gambling are prohibited under the Japanese Penal Code. In late 2025, the government introduced the Anti-Gambling Act with the aim of targeting illegal online gambling operators.

The generous fiscal incentives have attracted all of the major Hollywood studios to the U.K. and the country has reeled in the returns from it. Data from the British Film Institute (BFI) shows that foreign studios contributed around 87% of the $2.2 billion (£1.6 billion) spent on making films in the U.K. last year. It is a 7.6% increase on the sum spent in 2019 and is in stark contrast to the picture in the United States. According to permit issuing office FilmLA, the number of on-location shooting days in Los Angeles fell 35.7% from 2019 to 2024 making it the second-least productive year since 1995 aside from 2020 when it was the height of the pandemic. The outlook hasn’t improved since then with FilmLA’s latest data showing that between April and June this year there was a 6.2% drop in shooting days on the same period a year ago. It followed a 22.4% decline in the first quarter with FilmLA noting that “each drop reflected the impact of global production cutbacks and California’s ongoing loss of work to rival territories.” The one-two punch of the pandemic followed by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes put Hollywood on the ropes just as the U.K. began drafting a plan to improve its fiscal incentives…
