Lifespan Edge Expands Longevity Services to Puerto Rico With New Dorado Clinic

Lifespan Edge, a longevity-focused wellness company, has opened its second location in Dorado, Puerto Rico, following sustained demand at its Texas clinic. The expansion comes as interest increases in evidence-informed longevity interventions designed to support healthier aging. The company offers Therapeutic Plasma Exchange protocols through its flagship clinic and licensed clinical partners.

Therapeutic Plasma Exchange is a clinically established procedure that filters inflammatory proteins, damaged molecules, and other harmful factors from the bloodstream, replacing them with a clean albumin solution. Long used in conventional medicine to treat autoimmune and neurological conditions, TPE is now at the forefront of longevity science. Emerging research suggests that reducing these circulating inflammatory and age-related factors may help the body reset at a systemic level, supporting improved cognition, immune function, and overall resilience.

‘Longevity is shifting from a concept to a clinical conversation,’ said Dr. Michael Roizen, physician, CEO and co-founder of Lifespan Edge. ‘People are asking better questions earlier, and they’re looking for physician-guided strategies that are grounded in biology. Therapeutic Plasma Exchange is one of the interventions drawing attention because it’s measurable, it’s medically supervised, and it aligns with the broader goal of improving healthspan, not just lifespan.’

The Dorado expansion reflects growing demand for high-touch wellness and longevity services beyond major mainland markets. Puerto Rico has become an emerging destination for wellness innovation, preventative health services, and performance-focused living, while also serving local residents seeking access to advanced, physician-guided options. The company’s Texas location has remained fully booked as more people seek proactive approaches to aging.

‘Our Texas location demonstrated strong demand from people who want to be proactive about aging,’ said Justin Yeo from Lifespan Edge. ‘Dorado is a natural next step as we serve both the local community and those who travel specifically for wellness and longevity care.’

The company’s expansion strategy includes opening at least two additional locations in early 2026, beginning with Dorado and followed by a Florida launch anticipated in late Q1 or early Q2. Bitcoin devs cheer block reconstruction stats, ignore security budget concerns

The post Bitcoin devs cheer block reconstruction stats, ignore security budget concerns appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. This morning, Bitcoin Core developers celebrated improved block reconstruction statistics for node operators while conveniently ignoring the reason for these statistics — the downward trend in fees for Bitcoin’s security budget. Reacting with heart emojis and thumbs up to a green chart showing over 80% “successful compact block reconstructions without any requested transactions,” they conveniently omitted red trend lines of the fees that Bitcoin users pay for mining security which powered those green statistics. Block reconstructions occur when a node requests additional information about transactions within a compact block. Although compact blocks allow nodes to quickly relay valid bundles of transactions across the internet, the more frequently that nodes can reconstruct without extra, cumbersome transaction requests from their peers is a positive trend. Because so many nodes switched over in August to relay transactions bidding 0.1 sat/vB across their mempools, nodes now have to request less transaction data to reconstruct blocks containing sub-1 sat/vB transactions. After nodes switched over in August to accept and relay pending transactions bidding less than 1 sat/vB, disparate mempools became harmonized as most nodes had a better view of which transactions would likely join upcoming blocks. As a result, block reconstruction times improved, as nodes needed less information about these sub-1 sat/vB transactions. In July, several miners admitted that user demand for Bitcoin blockspace had persisted at such a low that they were willing to accept transaction fees of just 0.1 satoshi per virtual byte — 90% lower than their prior 1 sat/vB minimum. With so many blocks partially empty, they succumbed to the temptation to accept at least something — even 1 billionth of one bitcoin (BTC) — rather than $0 to fill up some of the excess blockspace.
