WEST PHILIPPINE SEA — The navies of the Philippines, Australia, and United States on Monday, February 16, held joint maritime drills in waters between Subic and Bajo de Masinloc in the West Philippine Sea.

The 14th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MMCA) is the first for 2026 and the first with external partners that the BRP Diego Silang, a guided-missile frigate, has participated in.

Just before noon to early evening, the Silang and her crew joined the USS Dewey, the HMAS Toowoomba, and the Philippines Coast Guard (PCG)’s BRP Teresa Magbanua in different drills — from communication exercises, formation exercises, and replenishment practice. – Rappelr.com
