Savannah Crisley joined the co-hosts of "The View" on Friday at the "Hot Topics" table. She has been invited to the show to fill in for Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is on maternity leave.

Crisley's parents are the reality television personalities and former felons who were jailed after being found guilty of federal bank fraud and tax evasion. It was thanks to her that her parents were able to get a pardon from President Donald Trump.

“I want to thank you all for giving me a voice and allowing me to sit at the table and believe totally differently, but have conversations that are hard and respectful,” Crisley said.

During a conversation about the social media trial in which Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg was called to testify, Crisley lamented that her platforms have been particularly awful, allowing trolls to say whatever they want on her page.

“As an adult sitting here on 'The View' this week, the amount of hateful messages I have gotten on—‘fat,’ ‘MAGA supporter’... it affects me at almost 30 years old,” she whined about the world of social media bullying she's faced.

Co-host Joy Behar told Crisley not to read the comments.

“I’m trying not to," she said.

“You’re addicted to reading them, aren’t you?” Behar quipped.

Chrisley quipped, “Next topic.”

The Daily Beast reported that having Crisley on the show was a kind of Hail Mary to the Trump administration after reports claimed the FCC was scrutinizing the show more amid censorship threats. Earlier this week, "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert was told by CBS lawyers that if he aired an interview with Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, the administration would come after them. The network later denied the allegations, only for FCC Chairman Brendan Carr to agree that he would have come after them.

It was then that Carr announced that they were investigating "The View."

In her first week, Crisley has faced criticism for some of her comments, including the claim that Trump "isn't racist" and the false declaration that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the Democratic nominee for 2028.
