During a Sunday morning, February 22 appearance on CNN, Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom was relentlessly critical of President Donald Trump.

Host Dana Bash noted that although the U.S. Supreme Court struck down most of Trump's tariffs as illegal, adding that he is "vowing to forge ahead even without Congress." And Newsom responded, "I mean, this is madness."

The California governor continued, "He's flailing. He's a punch-drunk boxer. He's just, you know, he's just trying to hit anything. A shadow and he's a shadow of himself. He's lost a step or two."

On X, formerly Twitter, Newsom's comments are drawing a lot of angry reactions from Trump defenders.

The MAGA-oriented Morse Report highlighted Bash's comments on the high cost of living in California, tweeting, "BREAKING: CNN just HUMILIATED Gavin Newsom: CNN: 'People are now struggling to afford things, like your mom was."

Valarie Surryhne tweeted, "I would say that Governor Gruesome Newsom has a lot of explaining to do not only to the Federal Government but also to California employers and employees who are laid off and depend on UI funds to get by while they're looking for employment. Governor Gruesome Newsom wants to be President, supposedly dreamed that he was met to save the Nation, when in reality he can't even save his own state of California.

X user Stephen Krajnik posted, "Newsom and his fellow psychopathic comrades will never understand is that Trump's personality, whether you like him or not, is authentic, and voters can spot Newsom's utterly inauthentic and clownish attempt at authenticity from a mile away."

Another X user, Kevin Dalton, wrote, "'But people are struggling to afford things, like your mom was.' - Dana Bash, unimpressed with Gavin Newsom‘s platitudes as he avoids answering a question about California's back breaking high costs that chase away the middle class."

Christian fundamentalist Richard Vargas tweeted, "The fraud governor can't answer that honestly cuz he knows what the answer is and he doesn’t care.. he doesn't care that his constituents are suffering from the weight of govt policies, corruption and waste."

The Rev. Jordan Wells, founder of the Christians Against Antisemitism Institute, posted, "BREAKING: CNN calls out Gavin 'Newscum' on live TV — California has the HIGHEST cost of living in America (11% above national average)! Families are fleeing because they can't afford rent, homes, or even starting a family…. California's homelessness crisis, skyrocketing taxes, and failed policies are making the Golden State unlivable. Even Newsom's defenders can't spin this one. Is this the "blueprint" for America? Or a warning?"

Analyst: Final approval of Ethereum staking ETH is expected to be brought forward to next month

PANews reported on September 20 that the Ethereum (ETH) staking entry queue has fallen to its lowest level in four weeks, with the market worried that a surge in exit queues could trigger a massive sell-off. The market has found that the continued accumulation and buying of Ethereum treasuries and spot ETH ETFs are absorbing the selling pressure. Most of these institutions have or plan to stake assets to obtain additional returns, which may drive an increase in the staking entry queue in the coming weeks. Another positive expectation is the potential launch of ETH staking ETFs, which means that some investors may release liquidity and re-enter related products in the future to adjust their market exposure, rather than completely exit the ETH market. The deadline for final approval by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is April 2026. According to analyst Axel Bitblaze, approval is expected to be brought forward to October 2025. He added: "The next deadline for BlackRock's ETH staking approval is in October, and I think approval is likely to happen."
