President Donald Trump shared an AI-generated video of himself playing hockey for Team USA after the actual national team won a gold medal over Canada in the Olympics.

The American team won its first gold medal in men's hockey since 1980 thanks to 24-year-old Jack Hughes' overtime goal to notch a 2-1 win Sunday in the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.Trump celebrated the following morning by posting a one-minute clip created by X chatbot Grok that showed him scoring two goals while wearing a suit and tie.

"What a play by Trump," the fictional announcer calls out as Survivor's 1982 song "Eye of the Tiger" plays over the video.

The fictional Trump, who appears to be at least a decade younger than he is, dominates the game in the phony highlight reel, and his artificial avatar is banished to the penalty box for removing his gloves and pummeling an opponent on the ice.

The 79-year-old president in real life invited the men's hockey team to attend Tuesday night's State of the Union address in a locker room phone call, and he tasked FBI Director Kash Patel — who pounded beers with the team during the post-game celebration — with arranging their travel details.

“We’ll get Kash or we’ll get the military to get you guys over," Trump told the players.

“Boys, we’re going to the State of the Union!” Patel replied.

The post Fed forecasts only one rate cut in 2026, a more conservative outlook than expected appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Chip Somodevilla | Getty Images The Federal Reserve is projecting only one rate cut in 2026, fewer than expected, according to its median projection. The central bank’s so-called dot plot, which shows 19 individual members’ expectations anonymously, indicated a median estimate of 3.4% for the federal funds rate at the end of 2026. That compares to a median estimate of 3.6% for the end of this year following two expected cuts on top of Wednesday’s reduction. A single quarter-point reduction next year is significantly more conservative than current market pricing. Traders are currently pricing in at two to three more rate cuts next year, according to the CME Group’s FedWatch tool, updated shortly after the decision. The gauge uses prices on 30-day fed funds futures contracts to determine market-implied odds for rate moves. Three officials penciled in three rate reductions next year. “Next year’s dot plot is a mosaic of different perspectives and is an accurate reflection of a confusing economic outlook, muddied by labor supply shifts, data measurement concerns, and government policy upheaval and uncertainty,” said Seema Shah, chief global strategist at Principal Asset Management. The central bank has two policy meetings left for the year, one in October and one in December. Economic projections from the Fed saw slightly faster economic growth in 2026 than was projected in June, while the outlook for inflation was updated modestly higher for next year. There’s a lot of uncertainty…
