Hayes' wealth exceeded $1 billion during the 2021 bull market, making him widely reported as one of the youngest billionaires in the crypto industry, but it has since shrunk significantly with the market correction.

Hayes' on-chain holdings currently stand at $42 million, with the largest holding being the USDC stablecoin, worth nearly $27 million. He also holds $8.6 million worth of Ether.Fi's EETH and WEETH products, and $8.5 million worth of investments in Ethena (ENA), Lido (LDO), and Pendle (PENDLE). A major component of his wealth is his stake in BitMEX. Although BitMEX reached a valuation of $3.6 billion in 2019 with an annual trading volume exceeding $1 trillion, its current trading volume is approximately $385 million.
