Trump reaches a 'tipping point' with MAGA as 'war with whole base' begins: biographer

Donald Trump risks losing his most dedicated supporters thanks to a recent administration blunder, according to a political biographer.

Michael Wolff believes the president has incurred the wrath of MAGA and that there could be a shift in momentum behind Trump's team. Speaking to The Daily Beast on what may happen over the next few weeks for Trump, Wolff suggested his core support could abandon him should they remain unconvinced of his actions in Iran.

Wolff said, "I think it’s a really interesting moment—a kind of pivotal, tipping point moment that the White House really feels it is at war with the MAGA voices. And that may extend to their war with their whole base."

"Partly it has to do with the Iranian war, because obviously the MAGA position is like, ‘What the f---?' The MAGA position is: We are against forever wars, we’re against foreign wars, America first. This is what you promised, wasn’t it?"

Once prominent supporters of Trump turned their back on the president, with far-right influencer Nick Fuentes claiming the president had turned his back on dedicated Republican Party voters.

He wrote, "The GOP broke every single promise. Epstein File coverup, regime change War in Iran, and no mass deportations. The GOP must be purged and burned to the ground in 26.

Right-wing political commentator Matt Walsh also joined in with criticizing the president, and suggested Trump's promise to "end forever wars" had failed entirely.

He wrote, "You and I both know that almost every conservative influencer in the business was opposed to war with Iran until just now. And now you’re trying to use justifications that stretch back decades. It doesn’t make any sense."

War with Iran appears to have no end in sight either, with Trump launching into a furious tirade against the Middle Eastern country on Truth Social last night (March 12).

He wrote, "We are totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise, yet, if you read the Failing New York Times, you would incorrectly think that we are not winning. Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth."

"We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time - Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today. They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them."
