Bybit Unveils ‘AI Trading Skill’ to Enable Agentic Trading as AI Gains Traction in Crypto

Crypto exchange Bybit has announced the launch of its ‘AI Trading Skill’ feature, enabling agentic trading on its platform. The launch of the Bybit AI Trading Skill comes as crypto firms continue to explore ways to integrate AI into their offerings, enabling users to use AI tools to execute trades faster and more effectively.

The Bybit AI Trading Skill Lets AI Agents Execute Trades For Users

In a press release, Bybit noted that the AI Trading Skill is a feature that enables users to execute trades, access market data, and manage assets using simple natural language through any major AI assistant, including ChatGPT, OpenClaw, Claude, and Gemini.

Users will be able to integrate the Bybit AI Trading Skill feature with zero installation required, and it offers universal API compatibility and 253 API endpoints. The crypto exchange noted that this launch marks a significant step toward agentic trading, where AI interprets user intent and executes actions seamlessly.

Notably, Bybit had previously released TradGPT and other platform AI tools, which assisted traders with analysis and strategy. The exchange described this latest AI tool as its most comprehensive AI integration to data, as it provides “end-to-end coverage across the entire trading and digital asset wealth management journey.”

This move comes as AI continues to gain more traction in the crypto space. Crypto exchanges such as Binance and Bitget have also launched AI tools that let users trade more efficiently. As CoinGape reported earlier this week, Bitget launched the GetClaw AI agent for automated crypto market monitoring.

The AI Skills Provides Complete Market Access

The Bybit AI Trading Skill features six modules that enable complete market access, from querying live prices to executing complex orders. Furthermore, the 253 API endpoints allow users to “chain commands, follow up with additional queries, and manage their portfolio intuitively,” without needing to access a traditional trading interface.

Additionally, the advanced features include real-time market intelligence and execution tools via WebSocket streams, such as margin lending, price differential trading, and RFQ pricing. Meanwhile, in order to enable a safe AI-powered trading experience, the top crypto exchange has embedded multiple safeguards into the AI Trading Skills framework.

These safeguards ensure that user assets are protected at every step. One of the safeguards is testnet verification, in which new users must complete testnet trades, allowing them to experiment with AI-driven commands before interacting with real funds.

All live trades require user confirmation, ensuring that traders have control over every order. Users also do not need to expose sensitive information during setup, as the Bybit AI Trading Skill manages the connection between the AI assistant and Bybit’s infrastructure through secure API authentication.
