PANews reported on March 23 that, according to The Block, Crypto Payments Company MoonPay has open-sourced the Open Wallet Standard (OWS), a cross-chain wallet infrastructure standard. This standard supports AI agents holding assets, signing transactions, and initiating payments across multiple blockchains while avoiding the exposure of private keys. The standard is based on MoonPay Agents, a non-custodial software layer launched by MoonPay in February of this year. OWS allows AI systems to programmatically interact with wallets and execute transactions. MoonPay states that OWS aims to unify key management and transaction signing processes for AI agents across different public blockchains. As a universal wallet infrastructure in the "agent economy," it currently supports Ethereum-compatible chains, Solana, Bitcoin, and other networks, and has received participation from more than ten organizations, including PayPal, Ripple, Circle, the Solana Foundation, and the TON Foundation, in its development.
