The 2025 MAMA Awards are leaning into spectacle in a way only the biggest K-pop awards shows can with one-time-only performances and acclaimed artists at the peak of their careers during the show’s two nights later this month in Hong Kong.

ForbesMAMA Awards 2025: Performers, Nominees Revealed For Hong Kong Show

For the MAMAs’ ambitious lineup centered around the theme “HEAR MY ROAR: UH-HEUNG” (with “uh-heung” referring to “the distinctly Korean spirit of fun and excitement that has captivated global audiences,” according to a press release), the production will honor some of the top and most influential talents from this past year in special stages.

The show’s first day on November 28, known as Chapter 1, will open with actor, singer and MAMA Awards host Park Bo Gum joined by K-pop boy bands TREASURE, BOYNEXTDOOR, CORTIS as well as the BUMSUP dance crew for a reworking of the traditional Korean song “Kwaejina Ching Ching,” reimagining the classic tune with the added punch of today’s idol stylings. Meanwhile, the specially themed Chapter 2 stage on November 29 pairs actress and MAMAs host Kim Hye Su with Felix of Stray Kids for a special opening performance, followed by ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Han Bin joined by dancer Kyoka, a breakout star from the dance competition series World of Street Woman Fighter.

2025 was also the year of KPop Demon Hunters with the show announcing “a groundbreaking collaboration” where the ceremony is teaming up with the Netflix sensation “to bring the film’s climactic battle between Saja Boys and HUNTR/X from screen to stage.” Will we see current K-pop idols take on the roles of the animated groups? Will the likes of KDH soundtrack singers EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami as well as Kevin Woo and Danny Chung all take the stage together for the first time? Details should arrive in the coming days.

Additionally, Oscar winner and current Wicked star Michelle Yeoh has joined the 2025 MAMAs as a presenter, joining a lineup that includes KPop Demon Hunters voice actors Arden Cho and Ahn Hyo Seop, Squid Game stars Jo Yuri and Yim Siwan, Pachinko actor Noh Sanghyun, singer-actors Hyeri and Lee Junyoung, and many more.

There are also artist-focused highlights that will be signature career moments: the newly formed rookie group created from Boys Planet II ALPHA DRIVE ONE will make its stage debut at the awards show. At the same time, veteran idol Super Junior will mark its 20th anniversary with a performance sure to honor the group’s two decades together.

Plus, Stray Kids plan to debut the first live performance of a new track from their upcoming album, DO IT, which drops on Friday, November 21. Alongside Felix’s special stage, the MAMAs are honoring SKZ’s massively successful 2025, which included multiple chart-topping albums and a record-breaking stadium world tour.

The MAMAs also add that several performances will include live bands, which should further help the ceremony stand out among other K-pop awards shows. Also, for global viewers watching from home, CJ ENM is expanding access with its Mnet Plus platform, offering a 4K livestream with enhanced camera angles.

The 2025 MAMA Awards take place at the Kai Tak Stadium, Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong from November 28-29. Check out all the performers and nominees here.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

The post BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BlackRock is steering $185 billion worth of model portfolios deeper into US stocks and artificial intelligence. The decision came this week as the asset manager adjusted its entire model suite, increasing its equity allocation and dumping exposure to international developed markets. The firm now sits 2% overweight on stocks, after money moved between several of its biggest exchange-traded funds. This wasn’t a slow shuffle. Billions flowed across multiple ETFs on Tuesday as BlackRock executed the realignment. The iShares S&P 100 ETF (OEF) alone brought in $3.4 billion, the largest single-day haul in its history. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected $2.3 billion, while the iShares US Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF (DYNF) added nearly $2 billion. The rebalancing triggered swift inflows and outflows that realigned investor exposure on the back of performance data and macroeconomic outlooks. BlackRock raises equities on strong US earnings The model updates come as BlackRock backs the rally in American stocks, fueled by strong earnings and optimism around rate cuts. In an investment letter obtained by Bloomberg, the firm said US companies have delivered 11% earnings growth since the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, earnings across other developed markets barely touched 2%. That gap helped push the decision to drop international holdings in favor of American ones. Michael Gates, lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Target Allocation ETF model portfolio suite, said the US market is the only one showing consistency in sales growth, profit delivery, and revisions in analyst forecasts. “The US equity market continues to stand alone in terms of earnings delivery, sales growth and sustainable trends in analyst estimates and revisions,” Michael wrote. He added that non-US developed markets lagged far behind, especially when it came to sales. This week’s changes reflect that position. The move was made ahead of the Federal…
