Saga has announced a major strategic shift toward artificial intelligence with the launch of Saga AI Labs, a new division dedicated to developing AI-powered characters, digital personalities, and autonomous agents. The move comes after the company transferred operational responsibility for its blockchain network to Alapin Holdings, signaling a transition from blockchain infrastructure management to AI-driven innovation.
The company indicated that the launch of Saga AI Labs reflects both its recent growth and a broader evolution in strategy over the past two years. During this period, Saga increasingly concentrated on building AI-focused products and platforms, ultimately leading to the creation of a dedicated division for artificial intelligence initiatives.
Under the newly established arrangement, Alapin Holdings, which is part of the dao5 ecosystem, will assume responsibility for overseeing the Saga blockchain network and its associated cryptocurrency operations. This transition enables Saga to dedicate more resources and attention to expanding its AI-related technologies and services.
Saga AI Labs has been established to accelerate the development of AI-powered characters, digital personalities, and autonomous agents capable of interacting with users across multiple digital environments.
The company reported that its artificial intelligence technology is already being integrated into several gaming and entertainment projects. One notable initiative involved a partnership with mobile gaming company Etermax. Through this collaboration, an AI-powered version of the host from the globally recognized Trivia Crack franchise was introduced, demonstrating how established gaming characters can be transformed into interactive digital personalities.
Saga has also expanded its AI efforts through partnerships with other organizations in the gaming sector. A collaboration with GFAL supported the introduction of Crystal Beaumont, an influencer-style AI character connected to the mobile game Diamond Jewels. In addition, the company partnered with BONOXS to develop and launch an AI-powered community manager designed to engage with online audiences.
According to Saga, its AI-driven characters are intended to function across games, social media platforms, and online communities. This cross-platform capability allows digital personalities to maintain a presence beyond the specific games or entertainment products from which they originate.
The company believes these AI characters can extend user engagement by continuously interacting with audiences, generating content, promoting experiences, and maintaining active participation across digital ecosystems.
Rebecca Liao, Chief Executive Officer of Saga, explained that advances in artificial intelligence are transforming digital characters from static intellectual property into dynamic entities capable of behaving more like realistic performers. She stated that these AI-driven personalities can engage with audiences on an ongoing basis while contributing to content creation and promotional activities.
Liao further noted that, over time, such characters may become active participants in digital economies. She suggested that this development could significantly expand the influence and commercial potential of synthetic relationships within consumer-focused digital businesses.
Following the operational transition of its blockchain network to Alapin Holdings, Saga is positioning artificial intelligence as its primary growth strategy, with additional AI character initiatives planned for release later this year.
The company confirmed that more AI-powered projects connected to gaming and entertainment are currently in development. These upcoming initiatives are expected to further strengthen Saga’s presence in the rapidly growing intersection of artificial intelligence, gaming, and digital community engagement.
By launching Saga AI Labs and delegating blockchain network operations to Alapin Holdings, the company is embracing a future centered on intelligent digital personalities and autonomous agents, reflecting the growing importance of AI technologies in the broader digital entertainment landscape.
