XRP Is Seed-Round Stake in Startup Civilization

  • Analyst Martin Geddes frames XRP as a seed-round investment in startup civilization.
  • Long-term holder states XRP serves as a retirement fund after four years of holding.
  • Community members characterize supporters as understanding system transformation ahead.

Analyst Martin Geddes has characterized XRP as a seed-round equity stake in an emerging civilization on X. “What if XRP is essentially a share in a new startup civilization being offered at seed round prices right up to the moment of market float and liquidity exit? Deal of the millennium,” Geddes posted.

The framing positions XRP beyond typical cryptocurrency investment narratives and suggests the token is representing ownership in systemic infrastructure rather than speculative digital assets. The “seed round prices” terminology borrows from venture capital and highlights that the current valuations understate future worth.

Larry Cook replied that he purchased substantial positions four years ago, stating, “It’s my retirement fund.” The comment shows holders viewing XRP as long-term wealth preservation rather than short-term trading vehicles. Four years ago corresponds to January 2022, when XRP traded between $0.60 and $0.85 following regulatory uncertainty.

Breakfast Friend posted an extensive analysis of XRP holder characteristics. “The people who are picking XRP right now have a unique, positive combination of attributes: They understand that the current system is bad and that it is going away. They believe that XRP will be used heavily in the new system and likely understand why,” the user stated.

The response continued mentioning specific traits: “To me, this also implies that they likely believe that good will triumph over evil. Thus the people (some of whom are commoners) who will become wealthy through XRP”. Breakfast Friend added that supporters “see things others don’t see” while warning that “Evil people will have their assets seized, and permanently demoralized, pessimistic, and myopic people won’t realize what’s happening until it’s too late.”

The responses show that some XRP holders view their investment as a bet on a future financial system, not just a speculative trade.

Another X user, Kathleen Close, responded to the original thread, stating XRP is “the gift of inheritance for our children and children’s children. Generational.” EFoggTX replied, “Since 2017” with ticking clock imagery, indicating seven years of holding through market cycles.

(Photo by Paul Natkin/Getty Images) Getty Images Singer Lou Gramm has a vivid memory of recording the ballad “Waiting for a Girl Like You” at New York City’s Electric Lady Studio for his band Foreigner more than 40 years ago. Gramm was adding his vocals for the track in the control room on the other side of the glass when he noticed a beautiful woman walking through the door. “She sits on the sofa in front of the board,” he says. “She looked at me while I was singing. And every now and then, she had a little smile on her face. I’m not sure what that was, but it was driving me crazy. “And at the end of the song, when I’m singing the ad-libs and stuff like that, she gets up,” he continues. “She gives me a little smile and walks out of the room. And when the song ended, I would look up every now and then to see where Mick [Jones] and Mutt [Lange] were, and they were pushing buttons and turning knobs. They were not aware that she was even in the room. So when the song ended, I said, ‘Guys, who was that woman who walked in? She was beautiful.’ And they looked at each other, and they went, ‘What are you talking about? We didn’t see anything.’ But you know what? I think they put her up to it. Doesn’t that sound more like them?” “Waiting for a Girl Like You” became a massive hit in 1981 for Foreigner off their album 4, which peaked at number one on the Billboard chart for 10 weeks and…
