The animated blockbuster Zootopia 2 is coming this week to digital streaming. Find out when and where you can watch the movie at home.
Starring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Batman and Ke Huy Quan, Zootopia 2 premiered in theaters on Nov. 26. The official synopsis of the movie reads, “In Zootopia 2, rookie cops Judy Hopps (Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down.
“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia 2 was nominated last week for a Best Animated Feature Oscar. The movie also stars the voices of Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, Idris Elba, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, Danny Trejo, Nate Torrence and Shakira.
Disney announced Sunday that Zootopia 2 will arrive on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The film will be available for purchase on such digital platforms as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home and YouTube Movies and TV.
Although Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment didn’t release the purchase price for Zootopia 2, generally new films are available for purchase for anywhere from $19.99 to $29.99. Since digital rentals are typically $5 less than purchase prices, viewers can expect to rent Zootopia 2 for 48 hours for $14.99 to $24.99.
Zootopia 2 Is Also Coming To 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray And DVD In March
In addition to the film’s digital release on Tuesday, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment announced that the physical copies of Zootopia 2 will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, March 3.
