Insights from OpenAI’s ChatGPT suggest that Bitcoin (BTC) could surpass Silver’s market cap within the next five years.

The outlook is based on current market estimates and historical growth patterns.

As of press time, Bitcoin had an estimated market capitalization of about $1.4 trillion, trading AT $71,470. In comparison, silver’s total market value is estimated at roughly $4.5 trillion, with the precious metal priced around $80.

According to ChatGPT, for Bitcoin to overtake silver, its market capitalization would need to expand by about 3.2 times from current levels.

Assuming a similar circulating supply, this would imply a Bitcoin price of approximately $220,000 to $230,000 per coin.

The projection aligns with Bitcoin’s historical four-year cycle that typically follows each block reward halving, with the latest occurring in 2024.

Notably, previous cycles have produced new price peaks roughly two to three years after each halving, suggesting the next major high could emerge between 2026 and 2027 before another cycle later in the decade.

The outlook also factored in rising institutional participation, as large asset managers and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) continue channeling capital into Bitcoin, gradually expanding its market value.

At the same time, Bitcoin’s growing narrative as a store-of-value asset competing with traditional precious metals is strengthening. Many investors increasingly view cryptocurrency as digital gold, a perception that has also led to comparisons with silver in terms of market size and investment demand.

Long-term adoption models further support the possibility that Bitcoin could eventually surpass silver, with some projections suggesting the cryptocurrency could reach a market capitalization of about $16 trillion if global adoption continues to expand.

When will Bitcoin will surpass silver

Based on these insights, ChatGPT estimated the most realistic timeframe for this milestone is around 2030, within a broader window between 2028 and 2032.

Its probability estimates indicate a low likelihood that Bitcoin overtakes silver between 2026 and 2027, a moderate chance during 2028 to 2030, and a higher probability between 2030 and 2035 if adoption trends remain intact.

Under that framework, the most realistic estimate for the crossover point is toward the end of the decade.

While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment.
