Following a recent thorough review of the fee incentive structure, it was found that one of our current discount models limits the deeper use cases of MX in trading and the dynamic balance of the token economy.
As a result, MEXC will be making some adjustments to the fee discount structure to better support MX's practical use and long-term sustainability.
Effective February 9, 2026, at 8:00 (UTC):
• The MX Holder Discount (previously providing a 50% trading fee reduction for users holding 500 MX or more) will be temporarily suspended. The resumption date will be announced separately.
• The 20% fee discount when paying with MX (via MX deduction) will remain in effect, ensuring users continue to enjoy significant fee reductions.

• Optimize incentive efficiency: Shift incentives from passive holding to active usage to increase MX circulation and practical value.
• Support ecosystem health: Reduce passive accumulation and encourage MX token flow and consumption in the ecosystem.
• Protect user experience: Retaining the 20% fee discount ensures users continue to benefit directly from MX in their trades.
How to Continue Enjoying MX Discounts
Users can visit the Fees page to toggle the MX deduction option and apply the 20% discount to eligible trades.
