PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Najib Razak’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, has filed a police report over allegations she had purchased and transferred a US mansion purportedly worth US$13 million, or about RM52.7 million.

A video spreading on social media claimed that the mansion was bought in July 2025 by Rosmah’s son-in-law, Daniyar Kessikbayev, before being transferred last month to a firm purportedly linked to businessman Daing A Malek Daing Rahaman.

Rosmah said the video contained false and defamatory allegations that were aimed at deceiving the public and causing grave and irreparable harm to her and her family’s reputation.

“At no time have I been involved in the purchase, financing, transfer or ownership of any luxury property – including any property alleged to be valued at $13 million – nor have I financed, facilitated, or in any manner whatsoever arranged any such transaction on behalf of my son-in-law or any other individual or entity.

“The allegations implicating me in the use of shell companies, offshore financial structures, or associations with any of the individuals or entities named in these videos are wholly without foundation, utterly false, and maliciously fabricated.

“They are unsupported by a single shred of credible evidence and represent nothing more than a calculated and deliberate campaign to defame me and bring dishonour upon my family,” she said in a statement.

Rosmah said she filed a police report today so that police could probe the matter thoroughly, including investigating those spreading the false allegations against her.

She urged all social media platforms to take down the videos in question and to curb the circulation of the defamatory content.

“I hereby reserve all rights available to me at law, including the right to institute civil and pursue criminal proceedings against any party who has published, republished, shared, or continues to disseminate these false and injurious allegations,” she said.

Separately, Bernama quoted Daing as saying the allegations were “misleading” and “wholly untrue”. He warned that those publishing or republishing the defamatory statements could face legal action.

Daing has also lodged a police report over the video.
