Dy: Sustain push to pass LEDAC

HOUSE Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III on Monday called on members of the House of Representatives to sustain legislative momentum and intensify efforts to pass priority measures under the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) as Congress resumes session.

In a press statement, Mr. Dy emphasized the need for continued coordination among lawmakers to ensure the timely approval of key bills backed by the administration.

He said the chamber’s performance in advancing LEDAC priority measures reflects sustained productivity but stressed that more work is needed to complete the remaining legislative targets before the end of the 20^th Congress.

“The country does not judge Congress by the number of hours we spend in session, but by the reforms we are able to deliver for our people,” Mr. Dy said.

The House leader highlighted that the LEDAC agenda includes measures focused on education, infrastructure, food security, healthcare, social protection, governance, digital policy, and institutional reform.

Mr. Dy underscored the importance of maintaining the progress achieved in previous sessions, noting that lawmakers must ensure that reform targets are carried through within the current Congress.

He also urged members of the House to remain focused and continue advancing initiatives aligned with the LEDAC legislative agenda, emphasizing that these measures are intended to address pressing national concerns.
