MANILA, Philippines – Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson delivers a privilege speech on the Senate blue ribbon committee’s partial report on its flood control probe on Tuesday, May 5.
After months of investigation into alleged multibillion-peso corruption, the committee chaired by Lacson has yet to formally release the report as only six senators have signed off, short of the nine required for filing and sponsorship.
By presenting it through a privilege speech, Lacson said the chairman’s progress report, containing the partial findings, can still be forwarded to the Department of Justice and the Office of the Ombudsman.
