BNB Launches on Robinhood as Coinbase Confirms Upcoming Listing

Robinhood added Binance’s native token, BNB, for spot trading on its U.S. platform. Investors can now buy BNB directly on the spot market. This joins Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL), which were already available on the platform. 

Robinhood handled about $8.6 billion in crypto trading in August. The company still relies on digital assets for revenue and is expanding into tokenization and prediction markets. Earlier this month, CEO Vlad Tenev said, “Tokenization is like a freight train — it can’t be stopped.”

Since 2018, Robinhood has added Bitcoin and Ethereum. Now it offers over 40 tokens on its app and international exchange, giving users many options to trade and invest. Robinhood recently added ASTER, a token from the BNB Chain, which shows its growing focus on Binance-related assets.

Coinbase Confirms BNB Listing

Coinbase has officially announced it will list BNB on the Binance Smart Chain. Trading for the BNB-USD pair will begin after liquidity conditions are satisfied. The exchange noted that BNB will only be available in regions where trading is permitted.

Earlier this month, BNB was added to Coinbase’s listing roadmap, which many considered unexpected. Changpeng Zhao, Binance’s CEO, reacted to the news on X social media.

Coinbase added Binance Coin to its listing roadmap, which shows wider adoption across U.S. exchanges. The decision follows criticism of exchanges for not listing BNB, even though it is the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

BNB Price Rises Strongly as Trading Activity and Interest Increase

Binance coin has outperformed major cryptocurrencies so far this year. TradingView data shows BNB rising 53% year-to-date, compared with Bitcoin’s 16% gain, Ethereum’s 15% increase, and Solana down 2% YTD. The token has reached several all-time highs this year, with the latest peak at $1,372 just over a week ago. Currently, BNB trades around $1,076, with a market capitalization just below $150 billion.

During the BSC meme season, more users and trades on the Binance Smart Chain increased demand for BNB. PancakeSwap, the main decentralized exchange on BNB Chain, saw a big rise in trading during the BNB meme season. In September, it handled almost $80 billion in trades, a record high. Many new meme coins were launched, bringing over 100,000 new traders, and some earned large profits. Traders called this period “BNB Meme SZN” because of the high excitement and activity.

Moreover, market speculation around U.S. President Donald Trump potentially granting a pardon to the Binance co-founder has added a positive sentiment boost to BNB’s price. Sources confirm the decision is under consideration but not finalized. The initial excitement from these listings could push BNB’s price up before it stabilizes. If demand continues, BNB might try to reach the $1,150 to $1,200 range it traded in during early October.
