MAGA outrage after Fox host corners Trump on key America First policy reversal

In three presidential elections in a row, Donald Trump campaigned on a platform of hardcore American First isolationism. One of his American First positions has been a vehement opposition to citizens of China buying U.S. farmland. But Trump has reversed that position, and on X, the change is drawing angry reactions from American First proponents.

Posting video of Trump in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, the conservative group Republicans Against Trump observed, "Trump defends 500,000 Chinese students in U.S. universities, saying it would be very 'insulting' to China if he barred them, adding: 'If you want to see a university system die, take a half a million people out of it.'"

Republicans Against Trump predicted, "Some MAGA heads are about to explode over this." And that prediction is proving quite accurate.

The New Lincoln Party posted, "Haven't we worked for several decades now to keep foreign countries, particularly China, from owning US farm land? Don't the states decide? And Mr.Trump is undermining it in a day."

DiscloseTV tweeted, "Trump says it's good to have 500,000 foreign Chinese students in the U.S. and for China to purchase U.S. farmland; otherwise, colleges and farm prices would collapse: 'I frankly think that it's good that people come from other countries and they learn our culture.'"

Although MAGA Republican Gunther Eagleman had a favorable reaction — posting, "TRUMP LOCKING IN MASSIVE WINS FOR AMERICAN FARMERS" — other MAGA Republicans are furious.

Strongly disagreeing with Eagleman's post, Chris Theman wrote, "Which ones? You must be talking about big corporate farmers [because] family owned farms have been going under left and right. But we made sure to bail out Argentina's cattle industry. That's our competition!"

MAGA Republican Mike McGlothen told Eagleman, "Bulls——, they must be paying you a fortune Gunther to read this crap!"
