PETALING JAYA: Seruan terbuka PAS supaya penyokongnya menyokong Barisan Nasional (BN) di kerusi tidak ditandingi Perikatan Nasional (PN) menjadikan PRN Johor sebagai ujian perkongsian ‘Muafakat Nasional 2.0 Plus’, kata seorang pakar sains politik.

Wong Chin Huat dari Universiti Sunway, berkata tindakan itu menjadikan pilihan raya itu tidak lagi berkisar mengenai BN bertanding solo, sebaliknya lebih kepada sama ada pengundi bersedia menerima penjajaran tidak rasmi Umno dan PAS.

“Rakan kongsi pilihan Umno Johor ialah PAS. Ini adalah MN 2.0 tanpa guna nama itu,” katanya kepada FMT.

Wong berkata, ikrar daripada awal Pengerusi BN Johor Onn Hafiz Ghazi untuk menolak DAP sebagai rakan kongsi kerajaan terserlah dalam konteks politiknya kerana membayangkan pimpinan negeri lebih selesa dengan PAS, berbanding rakan kongsi di peringkat persekutuan.

Katanya, PRN Johor kini boleh berfungsi sebagai ‘referendum’ terhadap kerjasama Umno-PAS, terutamanya di kawasan majoriti Cina dan kawasan campuran di mana Pakatan Harapan (PH) dijangka akan tampil sebagai alternatif utama.

Beliau berkata, sekiranya pertaruhan itu berjaya, BN-PAS akhirnya boleh merasmikan pakatan pilihan raya mereka, sama seperti dilakukan PKR, PAS, dan DAP selepas PRU 2008.

Bulan lalu, Timbalan Presiden PAS Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, berkata PRN Johor adalah masa yang tepat menghidupkan semula pakatan MN yang kini tidak lagi berfungsi bersama Umno, mengambil kira keperluan untuk mengadakan semula kerjasama antara dua parti Melayu-Islam terbesar itu.

Pada 28 Jun, Tuan Ibrahim menyeru semua ahli dan penyokong PAS mengundi calon Umno dan BN di kawasan DUN Johor yang tidak ditandingi PN.

Wong menyifatkan tindakan PAS yang mengarahkan penyokongnya mengundi calon Umno-BN sebagai ‘pedang bermata dua’.

“Ia mungkin menarik lebih banyak undi nasionalis Melayu kepada BN, namun ia juga boleh menjauhkan undi bukan Melayu dan pengundi liberal,” katanya.

Dalam pada itu, seorang pemimpin Pakatan Harapan (PH) Johor yang enggan dinamakan, berkata majoriti pengundi Cina menyokong PH susulan kebimbangan kemungkinan pengaruh PAS yang semakin berkembang di negeri itu.

“PAS sudah minta penyokongnya undi BN, bukan kerana menyokong BN, tetapi untuk menidakkan undi kepada kami,” katanya.

“Politik jenis apa yang sedang dimainkan PAS ini?” soalnya sambil menambah pengundi tidak sepatutnya menerima politik pecah belah seumpama itu.

Seorang ahli BN yang enggan dikenali, bagaimanapun berkata ada pengundi Cina mengiktiraf usaha dicurahkan MCA sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini.

“Kami telah membantu mereka. Kami mempunyai jentera yang baik. Dan kami menyelaraskan langkah dengan Umno Johor untuk membantu mereka,” katanya sambil menambah MCA sedang berusaha sedaya mungkin meraih sokongan masyarakat Cina.
