XRP to crash to $2, warns crypto expert

XRP is once again under heavy pressure after breaching critical support levels, with analysts warning that the token could be preparing for a deeper slide toward $2. The move comes after a week of heavy selling that erased billions from the asset’s market value and left traders bracing for further downside.

Crypto expert sounds the XRP alarm

Respected on-chain analyst Ali Martinez warned that XRP’s chart structure suggests more pain ahead. “XRP looks like it wants to revisit $2,” he said, highlighting $2.80 as stiff resistance and $2.10 as the immediate floor.

The caution comes only days after XRP briefly touched the $2 level in a flash crash, raising concerns the market could be on the verge of retesting those lows in a more sustained move.

XRP technical picture darkens

Market signals appear to support the bearish view. XRP has not only broken below the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level at $2.52 but also lost its 30-day moving average at $2.83, a dual breakdown that underscores weakening momentum.

Indicators such as the RSI, now hovering near 34, show that sellers remain in control while still leaving room for further downside. At the same time, widening Bollinger Bands and a negative MACD divergence point to growing volatility and downside pressure.

Compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum, which are also under pressure amid a broader market sell-off, XRP’s losses have been sharper, amplifying concerns that it may underperform its peers in the near term.

Unless the token can reclaim the $2.50 area with conviction, analysts warn that the path of least resistance remains lower. In the meantime, the $2 mark, a level that seemed like a flash-crash anomaly only a week ago, is once again back on the radar.

Ukraine Gains Leverage With Strikes On Russian Refineries

The post Ukraine Gains Leverage With Strikes On Russian Refineries appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Screen captures from a video posted on social media on September 13, 2025. The video claims to show a Ukrainian drone strike on the Novo-Ufa oil refinery in Russia. Social Media Capture Earlier this year, peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine stalled, with some claiming that Ukraine had entered the talks with “no cards” to play. Since then, Ukraine has strengthened its position, launching a series of successful drone strikes against Russian refineries, eroding one of Russia’s most important sources of revenue. At the same time, Russia is pouring increasing resources into its summer offensive and strategic drone strikes, while achieving minimal results. This combination creates a financially unfavorable situation for the Russians and provides Ukraine with much-needed leverage for the next round of peace negotiations. Ukraine’s Strategic Strikes Against Russian Oil Refineries Throughout this past summer, Ukraine has launched a coordinated series of long-range drone attacks against Russian oil refineries, causing major disruptions to the country’s fuel infrastructure. Reports indicate that more than ten refineries were struck during August, shutting down about 17 percent of Russia’s refining capacity, or approximately 1.1 million barrels per day. Repeated strikes on the Ryazan refinery in the Moscow area and the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the Samara region disabled several key distillation units. Meanwhile the Volgograd plant in southern Russia had to suspend processing oil after a recent strike. Other refineries across the country have also been targeted. These attacks have continued into September, with additional facilities hit and many struck multiple times.
