Alchemy Pay, a popular crypto-fiat payment gateway, has announced a milestone in its ecosystem expansion. In this respect, the Swiss Financial Services Standard Association (VQF) has officially recognized Alchemy Pay as a self-regulatory organization. As Alchemy Pay’s official X announcement reveals, this landmark development places it among the top fintech entities in Switzerland’s comprehensively regulated financial network. Thus, this approval underscores a key move in Alchemy Pay’s journey toward daily crypto payments across user markets.

Alchemy Pay Gets Swiss VQF Recognition to Broaden Fiat-to-Crypto Payment Ecosystem

The Swiss Financial Standard Association’s (VQF) approval for Alchemy Pay to work as a self-regulatory organization denotes a notable step in its worldwide expansion. Additionally, the VQF membership fortifies its credibility as a notable compliant platform providing payment services within the worldwide crypto finance sector. This means that the company is fulfilling stringent financial and anti-money laundering (AML) oversight requirements.

Apart from that, this approval validates the operational transparency of Alchemy Pay while also backing its objective of connecting conventional finance with cutting-edge decentralized technologies. Hence, it permits the platform to deliver streamlined crypto payments within areas where there is an essential requirement for a regulatory approval. So, this highlights the wider mission of Alchemy Pay to normalize the usage of crypto in daily commerce.

Keeping this in view, while Switzerland has become one of the most crypto-favoring hubs in the world, this recognition denotes a new chapter in Alchemy Pay’s advancement venture. This is also anticipated to be a noteworthy contributor to the broader adoption of $ACH, its native crypto token. Moreover, VQF approval paves the way for improvement in Alchemy Pay’s off-ramp and on-ramp solutions in Europe, with increased accessibility and liquidity.

Regulatory Approval Aims to Drive Global Blockchain Payment Adoption

According to Alchemy Pay, the recognition by VQF as a self-regulatory entity displays the growing demand for regulatory clarity in the blockchain-powered financial services ecosystem. Additionally, this move builds trust among Alchemy Pay’s institutional partners and promotes wide-scale user adoption. Ultimately, with solid regulatory credibility along with worldwide reach, the platform is turning daily crypto payments into a reality.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
