Earlier this month, Lady Gaga racked up seven Grammy nominations, making her one of the standout artists at the 2026 ceremony. Multiple tunes from the pop icon are up for some gold, as are a pair of full-lengths.

The focus is on Mayhem, which could earn Gaga the coveted Album of the Year trophy — a prize she has been vying for since the outset of her career, but has somehow never claimed. Thanks to all the excitement around the Grammy nominations, as well as a newly-released collectible vinyl, Mayhem becomes a top seller in America and sees one-week purchases skyrocket in just a matter of days.

Sales of Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Jump 675%

Between the Grammy nods and an uptick in purchases on vinyl, Mayhem sold just under 6,700 copies across all formats throughout the United States. That number comes from Luminate, the music industry organization that compiles sales and streaming data, which is then used to build the Billboard charts. The frame prior, Mayhem sold under 900 copies across America, meaning the dance-pop project experienced a 675% leap in sales from one period to the next.

Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Rebounds Onto Multiple Billboard Charts

All those purchases help Mayhem return to a pair of Billboard rankings. Gaga finds herself back inside the top 10 on the Vinyl Albums chart as Mayhem reenters out of nowhere at No. 7. The set also comes in just beneath that uppermost tier on the Top Album Sales list, where it breaks back in at No. 12.

Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Returns to No. 1 in America

Mayhem also climbs on another two tallies in America. Gaga is in charge once more of the Top Dance Albums chart as Mayhem lifts a single space. The title is a top 40 performer again on the Billboard 200 as it pushes from No. 42 to No. 26, thanks to a total of 18,500 equivalent units shifted.

Sales of Mayhem exploded after a collectible vinyl was offered for a short window of availability. The wax record includes liquid on two sides — one in orange and the other in black — to mimic the visual aesthetic of the album.

Lady Gaga’s Grammy Nods Also Boost Mayhem Further

Also helping Mayhem rise are the aforementioned Grammy nods. The full-length itself is a competitor for both Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, and Gaga is hoping to claim the latter field for a second time.

Singles “Disease” and “Abracadabra” racked up a total of four chances to be named a champion, with “Abracadabra” ending up in the running for both Record and Song of the Year — two more honors Gaga has been up for in the past but never claimed.

Lady Gaga’s The Fame and Born This Way Continue to Chart

On the Billboard 200, Gaga fills two spaces, as Mayhem sits several dozen spots above The Fame. That introductory project dips from No. 54 to No. 80.

On the Top Dance Albums chart, the singer-songwriter and actress appears in a trio of spots. In addition to Mayhem and The Fame, Born This Way falls from the top 10 and lands at No. 15 this week.

“Abracadabra” and “Die With a Smile” Remain Big Hits

In addition to her run at the Grammys and a new vinyl release, Mayhem is kept alive –and even resurrected – by the continued popularity of multiple singles. Three songs featured on its tracklist, including “Abracadabra,” “Die With a Smile” with Bruno Mars, and the most recent addition, “The Dead Dance,” appear across a variety of Billboard rankings. Impressively, both “Die With a Smile” and “The Dead Dance” return to their all-time peaks on two pop radio rosters, which highlights just how popular Gaga’s work is in America at the moment.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
