The thoughts expressed in this article aren’t financial advice. Readers are encouraged to do their own studying before getting into cryptocurrencies to understand their benefits and risks.

For many Filipinos, learning about finances can feel overwhelming. With the sheer number of technical terms to keep in mind, the seemingly limitless options for investment, and the stigma that financial growth can only be achieved by those more privileged, it’s no wonder that Filipinos feel stuck, not knowing where to start.

Fortunately, the learning landscape has evolved. Waves of Filipino content creators help break down barriers, openly sharing basic concepts and practical first steps towards financial literacy. Their advice often begins with identifying and understanding accessible investment channels: digital banks with higher interest rates, cooperatives with varying risk levels, and many more.

Crypto has emerged as one of the many avenues for investment and financial growth. Despite crypto growing with other technological innovations like AI, their concepts are different from each other.

Unlike AI chatbots, where results can be expected instantly, investing in crypto will need a lot of diligence; crypto’s value is very volatile, after all. It requires research, caution, and a keen sense of monitoring the market. For many Filipinos, this is still considered abstract, complicated, and a little too unfamiliar to tackle.

Finance superapp GCash saw this as an opportunity to strengthen its commitment to promote financial inclusion for all Filipinos. In 2023, the app launched GCrypto, where users can buy and sell cryptocurrency by using their GCash balance.

Entrepreneur, author, and artist Luis Buenaventura made an effort to make a localized learning material and created ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Crypto’, a nine-part illustrated story explaining finances and crypto in the Filipino cultural context.

The illustrated chapters take on a format akin to a web comic, where the story is laid out vertically for users to read through, scrolling until they reach the next chapter. Buenaventura’s guide adapts the concept of investing in crypto into a Filipino narrative — where it all starts with a scenario that hooks the ordinary Filipino, piques their curiosity on why some people’s lives improved significantly through Bitcoin, and then tugs them into understanding money, inflation, and eventually, crypto.

The guide also answers questions a lot of Filipinos may have regarding crypto buying, reframing the question “How do I start?” into “How do I start without losing?”

In each chapter, Buenaventura adequately addresses the initial fears most Filipinos may have, helping them understand why, for instance, there are so many types of cryptocurrencies in today’s age. Is it compulsory to buy all of them? And most importantly, what should one do when their chosen cryptocurrency drops in value?

After identifying the fears, Buenaventura then lays out useful and easy-to-remember strategies for investing in crypto. For example, he recommends the “buy the dip” strategy, where users can take advantage of the moment when a cryptocurrency’s value decreases temporarily. He also recommends “selling when happy”, but not to the point of withdrawing all of your investments — just enough to buy yourself or your loved one a nice treat.

Once you’ve read through all nine chapters, you’ll certainly gain a foundational knowledge of cryptocurrencies and investing in them. The guide also leaves you a source of inspiration for the future, which you can possibly secure if you start exploring crypto buying wisely, which is made more seamless and convenient thanks to GCash’s GCrypto feature.

Curious? Always remember that crypto is a high-risk, high-reward investment – yes, there is potential for high returns, but you also expose yourself to a high level of risk. Always invest with disposable income (money you don’t mind losing). And if you’re ready to start learning more, read ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Crypto’ by Luis Buenaventura in GCrypto.

Born Again’ Season 3 Way Before Season 2

The post Born Again’ Season 3 Way Before Season 2 appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Daredevil Born Again Marvel MCU fans were thrilled that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil was being brought back to life after his unceremonious execution after his show’s Netflix run, where everything was transitioning to Disney Plus. Born Again felt like a moment that would never come, and when it did, it mostly satisfied fans, with few exceptions. Now, according to a new IGN interview with head of TV Brad Winderbaum, Marvel has greenlit Daredevil: Born Again for season 3, well before season 2 airs in March 2026. Originally, the plan was an 18-episode run across two seasons, but Marvel seems to have much larger plans for Matt Murdoch and his series. This is a combination of two things. First, the positive fan reception to season 1. While there were some hiccups here, where the middle of the season had parts of the previously canned version of the show they had to work around, the first and last few episodes were incredible, and that’s the team making all of season 2 and presumably season 3 going forward. So, that’s great news. Second, this is a move by Marvel to reduce the cost of its endless supply of Disney Plus shows by focusing on more “street level” content. MCU series have been all over the place in terms of their focus and their budgets, culminating in the ridiculous $212 million budget for six episodes of the VFX-heavy Secret Invasion, one of the worst things Marvel has ever produced. Now? The name of the game is lower costs. Agatha All Along was a prime example of this, one of the MCU’s cheapest projects ever but one of its best shows. Disney is investing deeper into the “Daredevil-verse” here, as season 2 of Born Again features Jessica Jones, who might be destined to return for her…

CME Group to launch Solana and XRP futures options in October

CME Group to launch Solana and XRP futures options in October

The post CME Group to launch Solana and XRP futures options in October appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. CME Group is preparing to launch options on SOL and XRP futures next month, giving traders new ways to manage exposure to the two assets.  The contracts are set to go live on October 13, pending regulatory approval, and will come in both standard and micro sizes with expiries offered daily, monthly and quarterly. The new listings mark a major step for CME, which first brought bitcoin futures to market in 2017 and added ether contracts in 2021. Solana and XRP futures have quickly gained traction since their debut earlier this year. CME says more than 540,000 Solana contracts (worth about $22.3 billion), and 370,000 XRP contracts (worth $16.2 billion), have already been traded. Both products hit record trading activity and open interest in August. Market makers including Cumberland and FalconX plan to support the new contracts, arguing that institutional investors want hedging tools beyond bitcoin and ether. CME’s move also highlights the growing demand for regulated ways to access a broader set of digital assets. The launch, which still needs the green light from regulators, follows the end of XRP’s years-long legal fight with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. A federal court ruling in 2023 found that institutional sales of XRP violated securities laws, but programmatic exchange sales did not. The case officially closed in August 2025 after Ripple agreed to pay a $125 million fine, removing one of the biggest uncertainties hanging over the token. This is a developing story.
