Anthropic Targets $350B Valuation With New $10B Funding Round

TLDR

  • Anthropic is reportedly raising $10 billion in a new funding round.
  • The company is targeting a valuation of $350 billion in this round.
  • GIC and Coatue Management are expected to lead the funding round.
  • Nvidia and Microsoft plan to invest up to $15 billion in Anthropic.
  • The round follows a previous $13 billion raise in September 2025.

Anthropic is preparing to raise $10 billion in fresh funding as it targets a $350 billion valuation, according to sources, with Singapore’s GIC and Coatue Management expected to lead the round, The Wall Street Journal reported, and this comes only months after a previous funding round valued the company at $183 billion.

Valuation Doubles Within Months as Investor Interest Rises

Anthropic’s valuation has nearly doubled since September 2025, when it raised $13 billion in a Series F round. That round was co-led by ICONIQ Capital, Fidelity Management, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The latest funding push underscores persistent demand from institutional investors backing leading AI developers. According to WSJ sources, the round is not yet closed and the final amount may still change.

Anthropic has grown fast since its 2021 founding by Dario and Daniela Amodei, both former Google researchers. Its enterprise-focused chatbot, Claude, has seen wide adoption due to its strong coding and text capabilities.

GIC, Coatue to Lead Round as Microsoft and Nvidia Commit

Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and investment firm Coatue Management plan to co-lead the new funding round. Both firms have increased exposure to artificial intelligence and related infrastructure in recent years.

The Wall Street Journal also reported that Nvidia and Microsoft have plans to invest up to $15 billion in Anthropic. These investments are expected to support long-term development, infrastructure, and operational scale-up.

Microsoft has previously signed major cloud agreements with AI startups, while Nvidia has supplied high-performance chips. Their expected backing of Anthropic reflects continued alignment with AI builders.

“The round is expected to close in the coming weeks,” the Journal quoted sources familiar with the discussions. The company has not officially commented on the details or timeline of the round.

Strong Momentum Follows Record AI Funding in 2025

Anthropic is one of several AI firms that raised more than $5 billion in 2025. Others include Scale AI, xAI, and Project Prometheus, which focuses on real-world AI applications.

OpenAI led all companies with a $40 billion round backed by SoftBank in March 2025. That round marked the largest-ever single investment in an AI company to date.

According to Crunchbase, AI startups drew nearly half of all global funding in 2025, reaching $202 billion. This compares with 34% of global funding in 2024, showing increased focus from investors on AI platforms.

Anthropic plans to break even by 2028, based on internal forecasts cited by the Journal. This timeline puts it ahead of OpenAI, which projects longer runway to profitability.

The company is also preparing for a potential public listing within the next year, according to sources. No final decision has been announced, and the IPO timeline could still shift.

OpenAI, in parallel, is pursuing up to $100 billion at a $750 billion valuation, based on separate reports. Both companies remain at the center of escalating competition among top AI labs.

SEC Approves Generic Listing Standards for Crypto ETFs

SEC Approves Generic Listing Standards for Crypto ETFs

In a bombshell filing, the SEC is prepared to allow generic listing standards for crypto ETFs. This would permit ETF listings without a specific case-by-case approval process. The filing’s language rests on cryptoassets that are commodities, not securities. However, the Commission is reclassifying many such assets, theoretically enabling an XRP ETF alongside many other new products. Why Generic Listing Standards Matter The SEC has been tacitly approving new crypto ETFs like XRP and DOGE-based products, but there hasn’t been an unambiguously clear signal of greater acceptance. Huge waves of altcoin ETF filings keep reaching the Commission, but there hasn’t been a corresponding show of confidence. Until today, that is, as the SEC just took a sweeping measure to approve generic listing standards for crypto ETFs: “[Several leading exchanges] filed with the SEC proposed rule changes to adopt generic listing standards for Commodity-Based Trust Shares. Each of the foregoing proposed rule changes… were subject to notice and comment. This order approves the Proposals on an accelerated basis,” the SEC’s filing claimed. The proposals came from the Nasdaq, CBOE, and NYSE Arca, which all the ETF issuers have been using to funnel their proposals. In other words, this decision on generic listing standards could genuinely transform crypto ETF approvals. A New Era for Crypto ETFs Specifically, these new standards would allow issuers to tailor-make compliant crypto ETF proposals. If these filings meet all the Commission’s criteria, the underlying ETFs could trade on the market without direct SEC approval. This would remove a huge bottleneck in the coveted ETF creation process. “By approving these generic listing standards, we are ensuring that our capital markets remain the best place in the world to engage in the cutting-edge innovation of digital assets. This approval helps to maximize investor choice and foster innovation by streamlining the listing process,” SEC Chair Paul Atkins claimed in a press release. The SEC has already been working on a streamlined approval process for crypto ETFs, but these generic listing standards could accomplish the task. This rule change would rely on considering tokens as commodities instead of securities, but federal regulators have been reclassifying assets like XRP. If these standards work as advertised, ETFs based on XRP, Solana, and many other cryptos could be coming very soon. This quiet announcement may have huge implications.

Can XRP Repeat Its 300% Surge and Reach $5? Analysts Weigh In

Can XRP Repeat Its 300% Surge and Reach $5? Analysts Weigh In

The post Can XRP Repeat Its 300% Surge and Reach $5? Analysts Weigh In appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. One of the most notable outcomes of the bull run has been the 300% price increase of XRP this year. Investors are wondering if XRP may reach $5 in 2025, given the pace driven by ecosystem improvements, institutional interest, and legal clarity. Numerous analysts hold this view, pointing to significant demand stimulants such as the impending approval of the XRP ETF and the introduction of XRP options on CME. Beyond conjecture, the fundamentals of XRPL are more solid than ever. In just a few months, the network’s TVL increased from $20 million to over $100 million, and cross-chain DeFi applications are becoming more accessible because to EVM compatibility. XRPL is changing into a center for liquidity and intelligent financial solutions as a result of this innovation surge. As the native DEX that XRPL has long required, DeXRP is becoming more and more popular. DeXRP is getting ready to launch as the focal point of XRPL’s new DeFi economy, having already generated over $6.6 million in presale and attracted over 9,500 investors. What is DeXRP?  As the first decentralized exchange (DEX) based on XRPL, DeXRP is taking center stage as XRP continues to solidify its place in the global market. Massive expectation has been generated by the combination of DeXRP’s ambition for an advanced trading platform and XRPL’s established infrastructure, which is renowned for its quick transactions, cheap fees, and institutional-ready capabilities. In contrast to a lot of speculative presales, DeXRP’s development shows both institutional interest and community-driven momentum. Its early achievement of the $6.4 million milestone demonstrates how rapidly investors are realizing its potential. DeXRP Presale Success More than 9,300 distinct wallets have already joined the DeXRP presale, indicating a high level of interest from around the world. A crucial aspect is highlighted by the volume and variety of participation:…
