PANews reported on January 10th that Ethereum Foundation member Tim Beiko announced on the X platform that he will shift his focus in the coming months from L1 development to exploring cutting-edge applications of Ethereum. While the Ethereum protocol is nearing its "endgame," its potential as a permissionless, scalable, cryptoeconomically secure, and inexpensive verifiable "world computer" is only just beginning to be realized. Beiko stated he will remain with the Ethereum Foundation as a protocol advisor, assisting with organizational structure and ecosystem collaboration. Regarding the ACDE (Association for Cryptologic Development), Ansgar has agreed to extend his interim term as ACDE chair. Beiko will also actively participate until a stable long-term plan is developed for the meetings.
