PANews reported on January 14th that, according to Bloomberg, Figure Technology has launched a new platform, "OPEN" (On-Chain Public Equity Network), which allows companies to issue real equity tokens on its Provenance blockchain. Shareholders can directly borrow and lend shares without going through traditional brokers or custodians. Figure will be the first to issue its own equity token and support trading on its decentralized platform, aiming to restructure the equity market infrastructure.
