TLDR:

  • Strium Network launches as Asia’s dedicated exchange infrastructure for tokenized securities and RWAs.
  • The platform leverages SBI Holdings’ 80 million customer base across securities and banking services.
  • Proof of concept validates settlement efficiency and interoperability with traditional finance systems.
  • Strium targets the $18.9 trillion tokenized asset market with 24/7 spot and derivatives trading capability.

Startale Group and SBI Holdings have announced Strium Network, a Layer 1 blockchain platform built for round-the-clock trading of tokenized securities and real-world assets.

The joint venture represents the first major development from their August 2025 partnership. Strium aims to establish Asia’s exchange infrastructure for onchain capital markets with a proof of concept now ready for demonstration.

Purpose-Built Platform Targets $18.9 Trillion Market

Strium Network operates as a dedicated exchange layer for tokenized securities and RWA-linked instruments. The platform supports 24/7 spot and derivatives trading markets for both tokenized equities and real-world asset instruments.

Unlike crypto-native perpetual platforms, Strium focuses on serving global capital markets through blockchain architecture.

The platform leverages SBI Holdings’ network of over 80 million customers across securities, banking, and financial services sectors.

This positioning allows Strium to connect institutional demand with professional trading activity in onchain markets.

The joint venture addresses the growing $18.9 trillion tokenized asset market opportunity identified during the partnership announcement.

Strium’s architecture enables securities-linked markets to operate beyond traditional banking hours through onchain mechanisms.

The system supports faster price discovery, continuous trading operations, and scalable liquidity provision. This approach separates market access and trading infrastructure from legacy issuance constraints that typically limit traditional markets.

The platform design includes future capabilities for AI agents to participate in market activity and execute strategies directly.

Strium positions itself to serve as foundational infrastructure for Asia’s onchain securities markets. The exchange layer enables tokenized securities and RWA instruments to scale globally while maintaining interoperability with existing financial systems.

Proof of Concept Validates Technical Foundation

The brand unveiling coincides with completed proofs of concept developed for internal validation purposes. The PoC demonstrates key technical capabilities around settlement efficiency and system resilience under demanding conditions.

Testing validates the platform’s exchange architecture and interoperability with traditional financial infrastructure and blockchain networks.

These proofs of concept establish the foundation for further development, partner integration, and regulatory engagement activities.

The approach reflects a measured strategy focused on building robust infrastructure rather than accelerating toward production prematurely. Strium plans to launch a testnet that will provide early participants access to its Layer 1 blockchain.

The technical validation phase serves as a critical step in confirming the platform’s ability to deliver on stated objectives.

Settlement mechanisms, high-load performance, and cross-system compatibility have undergone testing during this phase. Results from the PoC phase will inform subsequent development stages and commercial deployment planning.

Further announcements regarding Strium’s progress will follow in coming months as the platform advances toward commercial operations.

The partnership between Startale and SBI Holdings represents a long-term commitment to developing onchain capital market infrastructure. Strium’s mission centers on creating systems where value can move freely across global markets without traditional constraints.

Elizabeth Warren raises ethics concerns over White House crypto czar David Sacks’ tenure

The post Elizabeth Warren raises ethics concerns over White House crypto czar David Sacks’ tenure appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Democratic lawmakers pressed David Sacks, President Donald Trump’s “crypto and AI czar,” on Sept. 17 to disclose whether he has exceeded the time limits of his temporary White House appointment, raising questions about possible ethics violations. In a letter signed by Senator Elizabeth Warren and seven other members of Congress, the lawmakers said Sacks may have surpassed the 130-day cap for Special Government Employees, a category that allows private-sector professionals to serve the government on a part-time or temporary basis. The Office of Government Ethics sets the cap to minimize conflicts of interest, as SGEs are permitted to continue receiving outside salaries while in government service. Warren has previously raised similar concerns around Sacks’ appointment. Conflict-of-interest worries Sacks, a venture capitalist and general partner at Craft Ventures, has played a high-profile role in shaping Trump administration policy on digital assets and artificial intelligence. Lawmakers argued that his private financial ties to Silicon Valley raise serious ethical questions if he is no longer within the bounds of SGE status. According to the letter: “When issuing your ethics waiver, the White House noted that the careful balance in conflict-of-interest rules for SGEs was reached with the understanding that they would only serve the public ‘on a temporary basis. For you in particular, compliance with the SGE time limit is critical, given the scale of your conflicts of interest.” The group noted that Sacks’ private salary from Craft Ventures is permissible only under the temporary provisions of his appointment. If he has worked past the legal limit, the lawmakers warned, his continued dual roles could represent a breach of ethics. Counting the days According to the letter, Sacks was appointed in December 2024 and began working around Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025. By the lawmakers’ calculation, he reached the 130-day threshold in…
